The good old days. Imagine the first team playing a school team now, for charity?
Simpler times back then. Life seemed so much easier.

I went to VD then and cannot remember that game. I was 13 at the time. One of the Biology teachers who ran the school team Mr Brown had pictures of players on his walls in his classroom. Anybody remember him?

I left VD in 1971, so was long gone by the time of that match.
Sad to think that just 11 years after that match Victoria Drive school was no more :(

Used to have some good games v VD when I was at Hyndland Sec circa 1971-74. Also some battles against St Tams from the same era.

Aye Tam Broon ran all the football teams from under 15 onwards. Ken Reid had Rangers treble pennants in his classroom.

I remember that - one of the pictures featured a league winning team with John Wark in it (1972 ?).

Wasn't Mr Brown a Chemistry teacher I'm sure I remember him doing the "Potassium experiment".

Played with some boys in the pictures and remember it being on the news that night.

My pal who's no longer with us in it also...so sad.
Rest easy mate.
