Gareth Bale

Sadly not been linked in a text from my mate. Didn't play in Madrid's final game and headed straight down the tunnel at FT.

Zidane said ‘Even if I had a fourth substitute I would not have brought him on' re Bale to which Bale reportedly responded in the media "I've got three years contract left. If they want me to go they'll have to pay me €17m a year. Otherwise I'll stay. Doesn't matter if I don't play, I'll just play golf".

Didn't realise just how bad their relationship was. Didn't it all stem from Zidane thinking Bale was milking a calf injury or something ?

I mean what can he do? Madrid have given him a contract, it seems football is the only career where you’re expected to leave as soon as the manager doesn’t want you there.

Bale is damaged goods as he’s now injury prone who’s going to take him? Certainly no one that will pay him what he’s getting now.

And yet he had him in the matchday squad

Congratulations Zinedine, that's probably just knocked 10million off any bid that was going to come in.
Comments like that massively strengthen the hand of prospective buyers.

There is no chance that quote is actually from Bale

It feels like people expect players to just forfeit any salary they are due.

Not many clubs in the world can afford Bale's wages, and the ones who can, would they risk that on a player pushing 30 who is injury prone.

Going to be very costly for Madrid.

And some people think that our left back Barasic has an attitude problem.....!

Ooft ,that’s the council tax going up in Madrid :D

It’s a well trotted out line, but the money in football these days is obscene, 17 mill a year, so Bale is basically looking for 50 million bucks and he will then be off.

Why even bother putting him on the bench. Strange

What with Ribery and Robben both leaving Bayern, and with them having an okay relationship with Real

What chance a year/2 year loan to Bavaria?

The 3 year rest mite sort out his injury problems.

Exactly if my company gave me a ludicrous salary in a contract for 5 years then I get a new manager telling me I’m not wanted and to find somewhere else. I’d tell them either pay me off in full or I’m staying here. I certainly wouldn’t find a new company and have them pay me less.

Loan him out to some 3rd division team in a backwater country. See how his golf game improves then.

Pretty much got a short shrift from the time he signed at Madrid regardless of what he did.

Milk them for all they're worth lad.
Bale started off incredible well but over time got caught up in the fame and stardom of playing for Real. His attitude has been rotten for a while he's struggled with injuries and looks no where near the player he was and looks a shadow of his former self. Compare it to his Spurs heyday and the inital first few years in Spain he honestly looks like he's chucked it and he barely socialises with team mates or has bothered to learn the language.

Give it a few more years and he will %^*& off to MLS for a half arsed big pay cheque before retiring. Bit of a shame considering the explosive talent he was 5/6 years ago and the heights he may have reached.

All that hardwork and the talent looks to have gone to waste imho.

Milk the bastards Gareth! Milk them.

But - Bale loves football and I’m sure he wants to be out on the pitch for someone rather than sitting on the bench. Wouldn’t have thought he’d have said that.

Must’ve been gutted when ZZ was drafted back in

Is everyone just forgetting his 2 goals, one of which was one of the best ever seen and MOTM performance in last season Champions League Final?

Well apparently he’s as bald as zidane and hides it well with the fake man bun.word is zidane done a Fergie and told him to man up and shave it.Bale told him to bolt.

He's an incredibly talented football player, still only 29. I expect him to move back to the EPL in the Summer where he will be a f.ucking god.

An injury ravaged few seasons on megabucks at Old Trafford must surely await ... who else would take a punt on him??

What else has he done over the last few seasons he's been unfit, prone to injuries and slated by his managers and preferred to other players such as Isco, Asensio, Vazquez. That champions League final performance yes outstanding but a rare one off and not been seen since.
