EX-HIBS and Scotland star Garry O’Connor has been charged with allegedly exposing himself at an East Lothian hotel.

The former player, 36, is alleged to have dropped his trousers and underwear and exposed himself at the Marine Hotel in North Berwick

The ex-Hibs striker is also said to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting and swearing during the incident last year.

O’Connor, from North Berwick, failed to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court when the case called

But a plea of not guilty was accepted in his absence.

The retired player, who scored four times in 16 appearances for his country, will now return to court to face trial on the public indecency charge in November this year.

O'Connor also played for Lokomotiv Moscow, Birmingham and Morton.

He denies committing an act of public indecency by removing his trousers and underwear to expose yourself while in a public place at Marine Hotel, North Berwick, East Lothian, on June 30 last year.

He is also alleged to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and uttering offensive remarks during the same incident

What a muppet, he is. I grew up along from his family here in East Lothian. Had all the talent to set himself up for life and he has blown it all away.

Marine is a very nice hotel and I would imagine with enough CCTV that the police will be able to a conviction.

Could of been a great player never reached his potential, half on his earnings went up his nose.
Seems to be a regular thing at hibs players maybe not getting the right mental support by there club ? Whatever is going wrong it seems as if they are producing a few of these waste away players who don’t reach there potential

To think as well Walter allegedly wanted to sign this muppet. So glad he never came near us. Should have been jailed for the nonsense with the Ferrari he wrote off

If my work was based in Leith, I'd probably want to be high all the time as well.
