Gary Stevens' son Jack loses his battle

That is heartbreaking news. Life can be so cruel at times.

There are no words to describe how unfair this is. For a child to be taken at four years old is beyond horrific. My love and thoughts are with Gary and his family. Sleep tight young Jack.
 
If this doesn't put life in perspective, ... nothing does.

As a father of a child of a similar age this doesn’t bear thinking about.

I had a friend lose a child around that age after a long illness and awful doesn’t even come close. It’s just terrible.

Rest in peace young man and my thoughts are with the Stevens family.

Condolences to the family, I can't even imagine how heartbreaking this is for them.
 
This really resonates with me as my sisters had leukaemia twice, thankfully ok but i know how hard going through all the treatment is and how lucky my sister is to still be alive.

This is heartbreaking, losing a child so young must be the hardest thing to deal with. My heart goes out to them all. RIP wee man.
