Agree with the general sentiment but I do think its harsh to say he really let us down in Europe. The whole team did, and we had enough quality elsewhere in the side to see us through some of those ties.He always threatened to be on the cusp of something great with us, it never really materialised IMO. He was great in fits and starts but he really let us down in Europe.
Cant all be blamed on gazza, but he did seem more comfortable domestically than he did on the bigger stage, which is weird for such a character.
Again, said it before.. nostalgia. But an icon of a GLORIOUS time for our club.
