Pretty sure C4 had it first. There was a documentary on about football Italia last year I think.

Yep. Sky Sports had Serie A before Channel 4 picked it up in 1992.

Ah, I was looking for it in All4. Cheers for finding it. I loved the show when it was on, every Sunday watching the best players in the world Peter Brackley and Ray Wilkins commentating.

Yep. Sky Sports had Serie A before Channel 4 picked it up in 1992.

Used to have Brian Glanville in the studio for analysis if I remember correctly

The excitement of Italian football being in council telly was tempered slightly by it having a defensive reputation.

That was blown away by the opening game - Sampdoria 3 Lazio 3.

We were lucky that for the first few seasons all games were played at the same time so we could get some real corking games.

My favourite will always be the Juve - Inter title decider in 1998. I have never found footage to back this up - but I am sure at one point in the game the far side linesman was actually in the 18 yard box.
