Union Berlin statement regarding fans in Stadiums, quite interesting:

The stadium experience at 1. FC Union Berlin is shaped by the closeness and intensive participation of people in the events surrounding the game. The stadium at the Alte Försterei is a vital focal point for social contacts for many and offers around 1,000 employees around a match day the opportunity to earn a living. Due to the necessary measures to contain the corona pandemic, the core of the club's life has not been experienced for months.

Union President Dirk Zingler wrote in his foreword to the program booklet for the last season of the Iron Games on match day 34 of the Bundesliga: "1. FC Union Berlin is organizationally ready to do everything in its power to do so in its stadium to receive people without any distance as soon as possible. The easy way has never been an option for Union. ”

Based on the DFL hygiene concept, which has proven its worth in special Bundesliga operations, Union aims to ensure that the stadium at the Alte Försterei is fully utilized from the first day of the 2020/21 season at the latest. The core of the previous DFL concept was the testing of all people for an infection with the Corona virus, for whom compliance with the distance rule and the implementation of the mask requirement was not possible. As a result, it was ensured that only people who were not infectious at the time of their contact came into direct contact with each other.

To achieve this, 1. FC Union Berlin is working to test its employees and all 22,012 cardholders for an infection with the Corona virus on the day of the game. Access to the stadium is then granted with a valid ticket and a negative test result, which must not be older than 24 hours at the time the stadium is closed.

“Our stadium experience does not work at a distance, and if we are not allowed to sing and scream, it is not Union. At the same time, the safety of our visitors and employees is at the center of our considerations. We want to ensure as best as possible that nobody gets infected in our sold-out stadium - this applies to Unioners and equally to guest fans, ”Dirk Zingler explains the approach of the club. “Implementing such a concept is an enormous organizational and economic challenge that we are happy to take on with all our might. This also means that we as an association will bear the costs for the implementation of the necessary measures ourselves. We want to give people back the football they love and long for and - again, we have emphasized this over the past few months - to get the people who urgently need it back into work. "

Various options are currently being explored so that the sufficient test capacities can be used within 24 hours. Initial talks with potential partners to implement such a concept are already underway. As soon as the organizational framework has been specified, 1. FC Union Berlin will present the concept to the responsible health department of the Treptow-Köpenick district and the state of Berlin.

so Leverkusen will be playing European games with no other fixtures at that time. If only the first leg was a bit tighter

We will be like a Juggernaut by then. Leverkusen will be beaten before they take the field against us. I think we will take 6 off them without reply
