In the context of coefficient points gained, I wouldn't say that it is. They played 3 teams in the top ten and collected 0 points from those games whereas we picked up 3 against Porto who were ranked 10th. However, they got 2 lots of 4 bonus points just for being in the group stage during Rodgers tenure which helps prop up his count.

Also, we have both played opponents out with the top 100 eleven times each. Gerrard has collected 22 points to Rodgers 17.5

Edit: I should also add that Rodgers featured in the UEL last 32 twice and failed to progress on both occasions whilst our Stevie has progressed on both occasions that he has got us there.

At the risk of defending Rodgers, were his games not mainly in the Champions League?

Gerrard's record in Europe with us is amazing in it's own right. It doesn't need to be compared to Rodgers'.

Then 8 or 12 of his points were bonus points for simply being there, which makes it worse.

We've picked up more points this season than Aberdeen, Hibs, Motherwell and Kilmarnock combined over the last 3 seasons.

Also picked up more in last 2 seasons than Selliks last 3.
