A SEX offender has admitted masturbating on a public bus in front of a group of children and threatening to rape a schoolgirl.
Gordon Sawers told a primary school-aged female that he was “going to rape and stab yous" during the incident on board the vehicle which was travelling between Kilmarnock and Ardrossan.
The 46-year-old pleaded guilty to a total of five charges when he appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday, November 26.
The Stagecoach vehicle was pulled over by police in Kilwinning on February 25 this year.
Sawers accepted a charge of communicating indecently with teenage girls, another of indecently causing a youth to hear sexual communications and threatening her with sexual violence, along with an offence of public indecency.
The incident took place at around 4pm on the day in question, procurator fiscal depute Fraser Alexander told the court, when Sawers was travelling on the double decker bus, sitting within the rear seats upstairs.
During the journey, a group of girls came on board and sat together close to where Sawers was located.
"Sawers then began to engage the girls in conversation. Very quickly this turned onto a sexual conversation," Mr Alexander told the court.
"To be clear, it was the accused only that was making any sexual references."
The prosecutor then detailed a number of specific explicit remarks made by Sawers, who is now described as a prisoner at HMP Kilmarnock, towards two of the group.
He told the pair "I will take you to my house and s**g you", adding “I will inject you with heroin” before warning he would “get with your maw".
Sawers made further comments which were directed towards the youngest member of the group.
He stated that he wanted to perform a sexual act upon the girl and told her “I’m going to rape and stab yous and that”.
The court heard that Sawers then proceeded to perform a sex act on himself, causing the youngsters to be "distressed" and "visibly upset".
It was at this stage that another passenger who was travelling on the bus informed the driver of Sawers' conduct - with the police immediately contacted.
The bus pulled over on Pennyburn Road where officers attended and traced the offender.
He was arrested and taken to Saltcoats police office where he was cautioned and charged and made no reply.
Sawers later appeared in court and was granted bail - an order which he breached on two occasions in May of this year having been found out with his home address.

Sheriff Nicola Patrick set a date for sentencing in the new year with the lawyer reserving further comment until then.

Knew Sawers years ago. He dated a family member of mine when they were both in their twenties. Drug addiction changed him. No sympathy though. Lock him up.

He did play for Ardeer at one point. He actually played senior for a couple of clubs, Stranraer were one definitely but I can’t remember who else off the top of my head.
I remember him once getting caught rifling through all the Sunday League players pockets in the dressing rooms at Jacks Road parks. He went in with a holdall as if he was playing and had turned up late, asked the change room attendant to let him in, the guy had the presence of mind to realise something wasn’t right and locked him in and phoned the polis. Which was lucky for Sawers as the Sunday League boys would have caved his skull in for him if they caught him.

He played for Alloa am sure as I played against him when he was playing with Ardeer and I knew him thro youth football and he told me he had just been released from there.

I was training with a team pre season and Sawyers was involved and then he stopped appearing and it was apparently because he had robbed someone and there was guys looking for him and he was in hiding after that I don't think he was involved much playing at all as he got into the drugs.
The man's not well and should be locked up away from society I can't see him being so keen to show his face around the 3 towns now the rat bastard.
This type of comment always puzzles me.
Who are the moral crusaders in these places that are running around dishing out the beatings?

Beatings do happen in jail regularly but most of the time it's scum on scum.
If he was in the general population he would get a hard time of it but he won't be unfortunately.
He went through a spell about a year back - probably at the same time as the OP story - where he was messaging loads of young lassies and videoing himself in the buff up to all sorts. %^*& knows what he was taking at the time but he was out of his bin.

I got a few vids sent to me of him with women and remember thinking why the %^*& would any women get involved with him.
Last time I seen him was outside Rugby park the day Goldson scored the winner and he had outted a few Rangers fans in the Kilmarnock end, was walking back to car and he was shouting at Rangers fans walking past so a couple went over to him and he absolutely shit himself and stood behind his son I think it was.
