I do feel the losers in all this are his children, he is supposed to have said he wanted to sire his own team. He is more to be felt sorry for. Doing his thinking with his pecker.
Another angle is what do these females see in a waster like him. The children being raised without a dad do not thrive. Dreadful.

They see a decent monthly child maintenance payment. Sadly a lot of the wee scrubbers from that part of edinburgh see popping out kids as easy money.

You said he's finished coz he can only score against teams like Killie and Hamiltion, last I checked teams like Killie and Hamilton are who we play every week so I don't get your point.
Show me where I took shots at Rangers?
Pointing out that killie and Hamilton both beat us recently is a fact, not a shot.

I don't think you'll find a single Rangers fan who doesn't appreciate Defoe. Not only as a guy - he is a genuine good egg - but as a player. But the truth is we play a dynamic system that requires a physical pressing forward - Defoe is a diminutive 37-year-old who couldn't be more different to Morelos.

I like him a lot but he's a specialist player. Ideal for bringing off the bench to exploit the space when the game is stretched and for outclassing jobbers at Ibrox.

Defoe has a part to play but not as deputy number two. We should be bringing in someone with a similar skillset to Morelos who can also offer us something out wide. Like a rich man's Kamberi.

I agree with the vast majority of what you say, what baffles me and how Gerrard doesn't see it, is the futility of trying to shoehorn in Defoe to a system that we play Morelos (effectively) in. If for whatever reason Defoe is getting a run of guy games then help the guy out and give him a partner that can win balls and hold it up for him, ironically someone like Kamberi. The fact that the wee man still had the best goals per minute even in a system clearly not playing to his strengths says volumes about what he can still contribute.

We heard last season that he was finished too. Then he reappeared and started banging in goals, including a hat trick in his last appearance. I'm not sure he's finished, got 2 years to run on his contract and Lennon seems to mollycoddle him.
 
I guarantee if he has been left out it'll have nothing to do with being overweight. Full of gear or playing the mental health card but it's not because he's carrying a bit of weight.
 
He’s absolute vermin that’s horrible little lady's front bottom, but he doesn’t look overweight in the photos knocking about.

He's just been left out of their pre season tour after having a year off sick. He's finished all right. A few goals after Xmas when their team was flying doesn't change that no matter how much you and a few others want it to be the case.

  • Overweight Leigh Griffithshas been told he won’t be travelling with the Celtic squad to France on Monday.

    Instead the Scotland striker must stay at home to work on his conditioning after piling on the pounds during lockdown. It is understood Griffiths reported back for training last month out of condition and over his optimum playing weight.


  • Neil Lennon’s men are due to fly out tomorrow to play three games in five days against Nice, Lyon and PSG in the Veolia Trophy.

    But Griffiths has been deemed not fit enough to take part and was not with the squad last week at Loughborough University.

    He has been ordered to work on his own training scheme at Lennoxtown ahead of the Hoops’ new season opener on August 2.

  • It’s believed that Griffiths had failed to meet his specific conditioning targets. He may now face an uphill battle to get physically fit enough to retain his first-team place.


  • A Celtic spokesman confirmed: “Leigh is undertaking his own fitness programme along with some other players at Lennoxtown and will team up with the squad when they return from France.”

That's incorrect.

Defoe scored 13 goals in 1000 minutes. 77 minutes per goal.

Griffiths scored 9 goals in 879 minutes. 98 minutes per goal.
