But we badly need to upgrade the quality of the squad again to be able to go the distance. There is no room for sentiment. Same goes for Flanagan.

Agree 100%, focus on his strengths and he's an important part of the squad. He has fight and spirit that's often lacking.

I had him as my MOTM today.
When you consider how much football he's played this season, the weather and pitch conditions and the fact he came back into the game and played well after an injury that would have floored mere mortals, he continued to put in a solid performance.
