Dessers continuing to prove he will score goals when he plays.

I said before he will finish our top scorer this season despite being dropped for a while. Unfortunate not to have a double again yesterday
 
Short on confidence like pretty much everyone else around him. A young inexperienced player at a new club, in a new country would benefit from having leaders in the team when things get tough, to give them a bit of encouragement and confidence; to help drive them on. We have no such leaders. Instead we have a team of wet wipes feeling sorry for themselves.
 
It’s pretty obvious. He’s only ever played once a week, at a standard where he probably covered 3 or 4km a game.

It took him ages to get up to speed. 2 games a week and 8-10km a game will be exhausting for him.
 
Few reasons.

Out of position. Believing his own hype.

He tries to make something happen every time, needs to just take the ball in and win a free kick, hold up for support sometimes.
 
It hasnt helped he has been moved positions to accommodate Dessers.

You need to play one or the other…

But TBF Dessers is scoring just now so its his jersey again, its called competition.
 
I personally think he plays like a headless chicken. Full of flicks that seldom come off. Seldom passes properly or scores or even gets into good scoring positions. occasionally has moments of brilliance but they are in the wrong parts of the pitch.

Garbage yesterday. Seems to be playing for himself rather than the team. In the huff at not playing centre forward? Needs to be told in no uncertain terms to move the ball quicker.

He is a only starting out in the game ffs, nobody knows his best position yet that will come as his development continues.
 
Absolutely no doubt he’s in poor form and a place on the bench should be where he is until he can prove he’s better than the options we currently have, and if he can’t do that then he’s not going to go far in the game.

Quite simply made to play second striker that's what's went wrong and Ferguson saying he likes Dessers will make it certain they won't change it,the boy was scoring well when playing upfront as no 1 ,I think he is chucking it.

Burn out nothing ,both are playing out of position,Jefte is never a defender he has the pace and skill of a winger ,where he should be playing and as for Hamza as I posted just look at the decline since he has been moved to second striker behind Dessers the boy is is sick of it not burned out

Playing him there to get Dessers into the side is fucking insanity. We tried to sell him in January %^*& sake now he's starting every week.

Short term solution is to take him out the team for a couple of weeks but after that he has to start instead of Dessers - not with him.

The only period of this season we looked like a decent side was when Dessers was dropped and Igamane was played as a #9.

Now we're back to looking lost again.

Yes he'll score goals but Dessers all round game is a massive issue for us.

When was this period ?

Was Igamane not our 9 in the sh!t draw v Dundee and in arguably our worst result in history the home cup loss to lower division Queens Park.

Today Igamane made 6 out 11 passes a success rate of 55%, had 20 touches lost possession 9

Midweek he made 9 passes out of 18 a success rate of 50% had 37 touches lost possession 20 times.

The fact he can’t retain the ball or make simple passes to a team mate is on him nobody else.

It was embarrassing lunacy. He looks like he has potential but there were some on here saying he was better than prime Alfie, who rag dolled Pepe and Hummels for fun.
 
He looks depressed ever since he got shifted position to let Dessers back in the team.

It was a huge mistake to do that.

When Igamane was flying and on form we should have kept him at centre forward instead of disrespecting him and moving him around to accommodate Dessers. His confidence has taken a knock as a result.

Dessers gets goals but his overall gameplay and link up play is not good enough. We would get more team goals with an on form Igamane in the centre forward role because his link up play is much better than Dessers and he has more pace.
 
Dessers is playing in his position. That’s the crux of it, he’s a striker. He’s not a no10 or a left winger. He’s playing like a young guy who is short in confidence and has never played as much football as he has this season.

Him and dessers has never worked, they just don’t mesh well. I would rather prioritise the striker that might have a long term future here than dessers. Him and Danilo do work, this is because Danilo is the one who drops deep and links up play leaving igamane to focus on scoring and creating.
 
Yet again a total overreaction over him as if he's the second coming, as we have been so used to having shite strikers. This is his actual breakout season so there will be huge dips in his form. He just needs to work through it.

Playing out of position and having the manager change etc will also not be doing him any good.
 
When he was the focal point of the attack it was working. Since he has dropped back to accommodate Dessers ( who in fairness is scoring goals just now) his form dropped.
 
Im sure this isn’t going to go down well but here we go, I’ve never really been impressed with him too much. A couple of good games but mostly average and goes missing in most games. Some really good touches and bits of skill, but mostly has done nothing.

I think there’s been a massive overreaction to him
And I actually think Dessers is a lot better than him.

I’ll await the replies, but I don’t care my opinion and standing by it.

The dessers loyal aren't interested
 
He's got real talent but he's been badly mismanaged since breaking into the team. He needs to play as the main striker.

I'm amazed how many people would start Dessers ahead of him or move Igamane into another role to accommodate him. We have a 50% win ratio in the league this season when starting Dessers.

Id argue our defence is slightly bigger issue than Dessers

Some just plain don’t like the guy and will never be swayed

A combination of being overplayed/burnt out and shoe horned into the team to accommodate Dessers.

The boy needs managed properly.

Well, you can't really make that comparison or genuinely form that opinion until we've played Barron as the 10 or either at right back or central defence, can you? Not for a true comparison anyway. Igamane burst onto the scene as the 9 and scored goals, a number of them. The management team, following Danilo's injury thought, hey this boy can do a lot more than just score goals, I'll tell you what let's either play him where Hagi, Bajrami or Lawrence should be or stick him out on the wing and chuck the prolific traffic cone up front. His form fell through the roof after that and the goals dried up. Surprise, surprise. Play him as the striker then he will start scoring goals again. Can't believe some of the nonsense I've read on this thread tbh. The boy is a player.

Possibly. possibly, possibly and even more possibly he was shunted out to accommodate Dessers. Who is absolutely footballing deprived.

I have to laugh, and trust me it's quite hard in the circumstances, but remind me again of the footballing enigma that is Dessers when it comes to penalties?

I think you are being very harsh here.

I personally think the boy is a talent.

However, time will tell.

You can be sure of one thing. In two weeks time, he will be the one Rangers player singled out for treatment.

Been played in too many positions as a young player, in a team in a shit moment. His best form was as the 9 ahead of Danilo and that’s what we need to get back to.
 
Perhaps just opposition players getting to know his style and him being unable to adapt. Top strikers have to be able to adapt. Reminds me a bit of Fashion Sakala. Hit a purple patch that led us to believe we had a superstar on our hands. However it was a false dawn.
