Has Pedro got what's required ?...

My gut feeling is that it's going to work out with him. I'm confident for Saturday, and I'm pretty sure we'll continue to improve in the run up to the filth game.

I hope so is all I can say, I like what he says, I like his attitude, I just hope his signings and team start to perform well and string some results together. We should be physical enough to match anyone this season, we just need to start scoring goals

I think too many of our fans listen to the media and aren't even willing to give Pedro the chance to prove what he's capable of.
I agree, too many of them still read that rhag the Daily Rhebel and listen to Mutton etc. I also think there are quite a few scum supporters on websites such as this that also influence too many of us.
I really want him to succeed because of the media treatment of him and I actually think he has got something. Him and the team really need our backing.

I really hope he does & given time, I think he will. Can you imagine the uproar if a Rangers friendly press ridiculed someone like wibble (on the face of it) just for being foreign?

My head says no my hearts says yes.not a fan of the man as i still think he was a strange appointment. But the way he is treated by the media i really hope that he is successful.

Cracks me up about the he's a massive gamble argument. Who isn't at our great club. I've asked these thinkers of there choice. Jesso talk about going backwards ... it would make you greet .. mon the ped

Time will tell. I've had moments where I just can't see how he'll be a success but other times I can see that he's a clever guy and a genuine football man who needs time.

As others have mentioned as well. The unprofessional attacks by the Scottish media on him have been out of order and I want to see him succeed so much.

He seems to become a better manager between games, sadly on match days his flaws are there for all to see.
Would love to be proved wrong but can't see it in him.

I believe he does but he needs some time. Doesn't seem one of these quick fix managers that people get excited about that have no long term plan. I honestly think if we afford him time and get things right above his head he will come out of this being a great success.

A big step is we have to ignore the media telling us hes no good and believe in what hes doing and saying.

I really hope he can. I am split just now though, we've had some serious disappointments with him in charge. I think he can come good if the board stick with him because we will have some points to drop yet, which will bring the calls for him to be sacked.

I honestly don't have any gut reaction either way which is odd. I'm not really exposed to the Scottish sports media (and chose not to be), so I'm not influenced by that.
I think we may never find out as Celtc sadly have a pretty solid squad and he'll be unfairly judged against them by the majority of the punters. I just want to see progress.

Really behind him and desperately want him to succeed but my head says he won't while my heart hopes he can.

I don't think he's shown great qualities in terms of man management to be honest. Whatever has gone on with some of the boys with rumoured bad attitudes etc ie. McKay, Forrester, O'Halloran, Keiernan is one thing but I think these situations could have been handled better. If something has gone on then fair enough but if some of them were banished to the reserves just because the manager didn't fancy them sends a poor message to the rest of the squad. Don't think it's good for morale.

Some of the tactical decisions a bit strange as well eg. The Motherwell game at Ibrox last season. Basically subbing the almost entire defence for more attacking players, not a tactical masterstroke but the equivalent of throwing it all on black at the casino

What is the point in keeping players in the squad and training\teaching them your tactics if they're never going to play for you?

How would you feel at your work if your mate who works beside you is banished purely as a new manager has came in and doesn't think he's that good however has done nothing wrong to step out of line in any way?

I know this may not be the case with these players but hard to say for sure based on rumours alone.

His substitutions and Faith in players who are not performing well enough baffles me but early days yet.
His biggest Hurdle will be how we do up to the Scum game and the game itself.

In a job like football, it's expected. New players come in, old players get shipped out.
You look at players like Foderingham, Windass, Waghorn, Holt, Wilson, Tav & Wallace, they have all played under Pedro this season/preseason, and Windass has improved from last seasons performances. Waghorn featured a lot during preseason and Windass has seen a lot more action, due to the reason they had the right attitude and gave everything in training.
Everyone was given a chance when he came in, and a lot of the players didn't produce, they were rightly shipped out.
Hard decisions had to be made and pedro has done so, there is no room for sentiment, they done a job and got payed for it.

In all honesty, I'm still not convinced. Two very winnable games coming up against Dundee then Patrick, win them build some confidence for the up coming game v them. Guess we'll find out more after the 23rd

He has to, we can't keep going back to the drawing board every 18 months or so.

We need stability and the only way that happens at Rangers is with success.

If he can win the next 3 games and build some steam going into the game against MolestationFC then we take our chances.

I really hope we come back here in just over 2 weeks after a crackig OF win.

He's doing exactly what Jose Mourinho does wherever he goes. Taking all the attention by the comments he makes and therefore taking the heat away from his group of players .

I like him and am 100% behind him!

A cup and a couple of decent performances against Timmy should be enough to keep his job and mount a serious push next year.

The real question is can our support handle any more bumps in the road? Because there are still more to come before we get it right.

Yes Pedro is on the right tracks. If players keep improving as we move forward and continue to gel then we wont be far away. For me he has certainly strengthened our centre of defence and midfield. Adding a man of Bruno's quality and experience was a must and adding players with more steel to our midfield was a must to. I hope we manage to keep the wins coming in the next 3 games and the players gain more confidence from that. I will certainly have more confidence as I enter Ibrox on the 23rd knowing that the other lot will not be strolling through this group of players. I will be going to that game with " The Battle Fever On" as always knowing this team will be standing shoulder to shoulder with each other and the fans that day. Believe in Pedro :)

We all want him to succeed but I think he's up against it. Unless we play the filth with another 6 points on the board I strongly suggest we get somebody with experience and a game plan in.
The scary thing about it is the new manager will need more than a magic hat

He obviously deserves his chance but I worry he might be a bit tactically naive for the big occassions. Hopefully I'm proved wrong against the dirty filth later this month! We need a die hard battling performance against them as time is running out for Pedro to show us he has what it takes

I don't think I've ever wanted a guy to succeed more in my life. He talks a good game, he has shown glimpses of what it takes and has made errors at others, but he is passionate and he also needs some luck as I can't help but feel that when things click into place we'll go on a run. He needs to win a "big" game and there is no better time to start than against the scum in a few weeks.

Mon the Pedro!
I am in the same camp, but he does worry me at times. He needs to show some strength and drop Kenny to the bench.

A big fat yes for me.
The language barrier when he's trying to communicate things is press conferences etc is making him seem like he is waffling on a bit to some, and the media are happy to jump all over it.
The key thing for me is that he seems to have at least some tactical knowledge and is willing to try different shapes and formations to an extent, something the last manager refused to do. Yes, he still picks miller when he should be dropped etc, but he knows he gets 100% from kenny and maybe thats been worth more to him than an unfit pena.
Give it 10 games or so and I think a lot of people will be eating humble pie.

Technically the players at his disposal seem capable of a challenge this season (does anyone really think Broonildildo is better than Dorrans or Jack?)However I think we've yet to see the heart and fight of this team when chips are down. The left flank remains a concern and I also worry about the depth of our squad. The next few months should tells us if we are up for the fight but the Hibs game didn't augur well

There's something very likeable about Pedro and he's clearly a clever guy. Would love to see him succeed to stick it to the narrow minded media up here.

I think he's got enough about him, hope he's given time

I think the comparison of their players and ours is unfair on Pedro. You make the Brown comparisons with Dorrans and Jack and they may be apt but also very selective. The bottom line is they have better players . Pedro shouldn't be expected to challenge for the title with the disparity in playing uality imo. Roberts, Sinclair , Griffiths, Dembele , Armstrong, Tierney , Rogic will prove far too much over the marathon of a full season. What we need to see from Pedro is him organising a team well enough to get a result against them in one off games, beat everyone else consistently , close the gap and maybe win a cup. That will be the barometer of success.

Jury is still out , I see some improvement to be honest ,despite a couple of disappointing home results.

I really hope he can .

We need to get some momentum going if he is to turn it around .

A run and a decent result against that lot and he might just buy himself a bit of breathing space .

Still in the cross hairs for a lot of people though and it won't be easy to convince them .

Realistically he needs another couple of transfer windows. We're still a good number of players short of a title challenge. There's a bumpy road ahead and I don't know if we will stick by him. I really hope we do because there's no quick fix.

we cant compete with the filth over a season

purely down to finance

we need to be a strong second

in the next 6 games...if we are not competing for 2nd then we should be looking to replace the manager
