Have you ever felt as hostile towards them?

Never disliked them back in the day. However, despise there club and everything they stand for - bit like the SNP they do not represent Scotland or Scottish football. Refuse to watch any of their games or read anything about them.

agree hate them more now than i did thirty years ago,is it because of their inbred,ignorant,stupid,pious,smelly,invincibles?attitude-well yeah that for starters.
have told the two grandsons must take disinfectant and other cleaning materials to clean our seats down[if they are still there-next home game]looking forward to saturday and our seats in the heavens.

No, I have always hated them but with their sinister, clandestine, underhand manoeverings to try to kill us, I absolutely and utterly despise every aspect of their very (pitiful) existence.

People romanticise the past. The Hampden riot in 1980, Maley's comment that he 'hoped it was an accident', the Celtic support for the Nazis during WWII. Rangers and Celtic, fans and clubs, have always hated each other.

Our big mistake, and I suspect this is where some frustration comes in, is that we didn't try and put our foot on their throat in the 1990's when they were struggling to stay afloat. There were plenty of chances to cause them all sorts of bother. However, we just ignored them, our leadership was weak and had no historical memory of how the Yahoo would behave if the boot was on the other foot. We missed an opportunity then and they've done the opposite to what we did in the 1990's.

Always hated them but the older I get that hatred increases. I had mates who supported them and I cant even interact with them at all now. I honestly think their club and fans are the scum of the earth.

My late Dad always said his hatred of them got stronger as he got older and I can definitely relate to that.

I've always hated them 100%, so really at the moment I hate them just as much as when I started going to the games 25years ago!

Probably not as much as now but the last season under Walter 2010/11 the hatred was wild that year. Ramped up by Lennon etc. One of my favourite title wins that one.

I despise everything about them as a club and as a 'culture of people'

They have manufactured a position of strength in Scottish football (on and off the park) and are now showing themselves to be even worse winners than they are losers

Approaching 60 and I hate them more than ever, cant bear to bring myself to look at them or talk to them.

We didn't try to finish them because our club makes money from them. It raises our profile having the biggest derby int the UK. Both Rangers and Celtic could have done a lot to stamp out sectarian behaviour but those not to. It is sectarian porn, look at glasgow the toughest Derby in the world, the fans hate each other and have done for hundred and 40 years. Ross Kemp comes does a documentary about the toughness of it as have others. It is an image that the clubs are happy enough with. Celtic love the plastic paddy suff, sells merchandise.

For both sides the Old Firm keeps the tills ringing.

That said I detest the manner their fans have behaved over the last 6 years and I absolutely detest the ethos of their club and love to see them fail. Pretty much the same as most people felt about s when we were winning everything in sight.

They are a poison on society in Scotland

Utter vermin from politics to councils they have infiltrated everywhere and they have made Scottish football toxic

Unless it's necessary a won't talk or associate with mentally challengeds as it's pointless they are full of hate and bitterness

9 in a row and subsequent years of Rangers success has scarred them mentally as seen by the countless bloggers and obsession shown by the filth that follows them

To be honest I pity them because they don't have anything in their life but hatred for the country they live in and an obsession with a club they wanted dead. I on the other hand love my country, family and our fantastic club and support. I never watch them or read about them.

My loathing for them has reached new levels. They are poisonous, bitter, lowlife vermin and a stain on any decent society. I have never met a decent one yet.

In the 90's they were just shite and 19th Century Terroristy. Now they're 19th Century Terroristy but with the backing of the political and media decision makers. They've tried to take over, and politicise, scottish football and made the game into a laughing stock. They have encouraged the demonisation of our club. I honestly wish the worst things in the world on celtic and their fans, i'll say no more as i'll risk a banning.

We didn't try to finish them because our club makes money from them.

Then why have Celtic tried to do so over the last 7 years?

In the 1990's, when Celtic were finishing 4th in the league, we were still comfortably selling out Ibrox. There was an opportunity in the 1990's, possibly earlier, to seek greater European involvement, perhaps even English involvement. Unfortunately, I don't think the club had visionary leadership at this time.

In bygone years my dislike for them resulted from rivalry and probably match day tribalism. I no longer class them as rivals but rather as the enemy.
Hate is a strong word when used with sincerity, but their unscrupulous and unrelenting attempts to have us eternally punished means I can genuinely state that I hate that club and all it stands for.

Utterly loathe them.

What irks me most is that any critisicm of them is akin to making some kind of racial slur and they become uber-offended if you dare say a word against them and even a 5-0 drubbing at home in Europe is glossed over by the press and one of their 18 year old defenders with about 3 hours of first team football is suddenly valued at £10m. Unbleievable.

Despise them.

Have done so since I was old enough to understand and will do so until my last breath.

I was just discussing this the other day. Have always hated them (it's in the family genes to do so) but nowadays the feeling is worse. They are detestable. I think the love in from the press, SNP, SFA and other Scottish clubs add to my despair. The sight of anyone dressed in that green and grey rag is abhorrent (especially when abroad). Cmon Rangers - it must be our time to show who really is number 1 tomorrow!

In the past I'd talk to tim colleagues, might even have had a wee bet with them re O F matches.

Now I wouldn't pish on them if they were on fire.

My hatred reached new levels after the game in April, their conduct that day was disgraceful, especially from Griffiths and Brown.
A line in the sand was drawn that day, it can never be repeated - and I expect a reaction from us like we have never seen before, tomorrow.

Growing up in the 1960s and early 1970s, I never hated Celtic with the passion I do now. Yes, there was a rivalry but it was very much live and let live.

Now I hate Celtic the institution. I feel that they have poisoned Scottish football. Theirs is a constant campaign against us on every front. They have overtly tried to influence referees, they have attempted to take over the SNP and they have subverted the mhedia.

I don't generally hate individual Celtic fans. I take them as I find them. But I detest everything that Celtic the club stand for.

I could have wrote this, exactly word for word.

I had lots of mates who were Celtic fans at that time. We would go to games, call each other every name under the sun, then play football with them the next day. I can honestly say we got on really well and would have each others backs.

Now, I detest that club. They cheat, lie, manipulate and it is blatant. A few years ago I had a huge argument with one of them about Lennon, he tried to make out that Lennon was just a poor innocent victim. Now, I do not talk to Celtic fans about football anymore, they know if they try I will just change the subject.

I used to travel to games at the piggery with an old Celtic fan back in the 70's.

Now, I've actually stopped speaking to people who I know are scum fans. I genuinely can't be around them.

As I have gotten older my view on them has surpassed even hatred if that is possible.
On the plus side my love of the Rangers has got stronger and I look forward to the day when we will back at the top looking down on these parasites as it is they only word I can use to describe them.

My tolerance with most things has got less since I've gotten older but I hate their club & fans with a passion that even surprises me these days.

I hate that mob more than anything in the world. Growing up in the 70s and 80s, I disliked them, as they were our main challengers and of course having the bragging rights at school was great. Now that I nearing 50, my hatred for them grows each day. I am still a serving soldier and I hate this mob more than some of the terrorist groups that I have fought over the years.

It's getting worse.. in group conversation in work 2 of them chatting and one saying he thinks it's going to be an easy 3 or 4-1 game and the other saying that anderlecht game is there main game. Was good to see there glakit glare to each other when not one rangers fan took them on....wanks!!

They are all saying this mate

Their belly is exposed re the jiggery pokery at the piggery jokery.

If we could get a well respected bear / supporters group to front a fu draining campaign it could in kart be used to lobby the governing bodies to ensure Just ce for the innocent victims.

Felt worse about them when the had the Lurgan bigot in charge, he is a cancer of Scottish football and put hostilities back years.
Still think they are a bunch of cunts.

Probably not as much as now but the last season under Walter 2010/11 the hatred was wild that year. Ramped up by Lennon etc. One of my favourite title wins that one.

Yeah, that season was the worst I can remember. It was always bad in terms of hatred but it took a real nasty edge that season.

Without a doubt I despise them .

I don't think I ever really felt that way before, just saw them as hated football/way of life rivals as it should be. Lawwell has stoked the fires of hatred within himself and them to a new level and ignored their numerous indiscretions towards us and others, be it songs, banners, effigies, racism, sectarianism, and violent attacks on opposition players. He can do this because no one takes him/them to task, and that includes Sturgeon and her zealots, need their vote you see.
In the past I could easily turn the other cheek and politely ignore their nonsense towards us as I was taught to live and let live. Not now, not anymore.

Hatred is to nice a word for me.
We are getting kicked from piller to post.
Its all around but i find myself growling at Tims at work, something ive never done.
I work in a Hard Hat environment.
Ive never ever put a thing on my hat as regards an RFC or the likes.
Every Tim on my site has ceptic words on their hats one even has your not Rangers anymore.
I swear to God iam going to stiffen the lady's front bottom before iam out of that job.
Iam going to end up in Widilee at this rate!

I'm 52 now, and although I always disliked them in my youth, it was more of a sporting rivalry nature. Since O'Neill and then Lennon, my intense dislike has become a raging hatred for that club and the environment associated with it. The manner in which they have taken control of institutions for their own benefit (Glasgow Labour Council/Co-Op Bank), the mainstream media (Celtic = Good, Rangers = Bad); and their cronies within the SFA and SPFL carrying out their master's biddings (Referees strike with no consequences; Compliant Officer; Target Rangers EBT's and ignore every other indiscretion [financial or criminal] ); the victim mentality etc. just adds to my frustration.

As a bear married to a girl with Southern Irish parentage .I have spent a lot of time amongst them .Always enjoyed time spent in Donegal .I don't know if it was on purpose but football and religion were hardly ever brought up in the company I kept ..

Now the landscape has changed especially in Scotland were We have people who are Plastic Paddies who are filled with a bitter deep rooted loathing of anything they perceive as British or protestant .This has happened widespread over a generation or two .

I had a talk to her uncle who has worked overseas for most of his life about it.He told me in his half american half upper class English with a bit of Irish brogue thrown in ..Scum always rises to the top and is visible for a short period .They shame decent hard working Irish people The world over .

I feel the same way, i hate the club with a passion

I thought I'd mellow as I got older but I fkn despise these c()nts. The way our country is eating itself up is down to them.
The plastic paddy is a million miles away from a real one.

Celtic, and their support are a cancer in Scottish Society, not just football. They have no redeeming qualities and all decent people should despise them for that. It's why I do.

I find it preferable not to think of them at all but when I do I fckng hate them and the boat they sailed in on

I'm 'of an age' and can say this hatred is progressively stronger.

FT(you know the script).

Hated them as a child ,this grew into contempt and then on to ambivalence. When you realise their obsession is based on an inferiority complex just accept that the Timigrants are inferior ,despite the fortunes of their team.
