Been watching the links posted by Hoggy before listening to todays episode of the Eck Era on H&H.

Can anyone remember why the fixtures ended with both us and the mentally challengeds being away from home on the final day? Unusual that we both played away games on the same weekend.

It's happened a couple of times I think?

If a team has it sewn up they'll be at home last game.

The year we got beat at Pittodrie and they won at Tannadice is another think of

Probably due to the scheduling of the last game against them at Ibrox, all other fixtures would then be arranged around that

celtic complained in 2003 after we were at home on the last day vs Dunfermline and them away to Killie.

The SPL said in future both teams would be away from home on final day if league was close going into the split.

That "rule" was soon forgotten about.

Ah i see

Sporting integrity then

In fairness it was one of a number of Celtic complaints in 2003, scheduling of final OF game, Dunfermline lying down to us, Gordon Marshall not letting more goals in, Porto time-wasting in Seville

I'm sure they wanted to bring their own ball boys to Kilmarnock and Killie told them to GTF.

They complained about that as well. :)

They complained in 2003 when we were at home to Dunfermline so every last day decider since has meant both teams are away from home.

No it hasn't.

As mentioned, the League went to the final day in 2009 and 2011 and both times, they had home games.

They complained after 2003 cos we were at home and they were away. The next 2 close run ins had us both away (2005 and 2008). From then any close run ins had us away and them at home (2009 and 2011). Don't think we complained, surprise surprise.
