A HIBS fan has launched a campaign calling for answers from the club’s board relating to the Rangers EBT saga.

The supporter today kicked off a petition – which has over 900 backers – asking questions about the Lord Nimmo Smith report, title-stripping calls and the Ibrox side’s recent financial results.

The fan hopes to send the petition to Leeann Dempster

He hopes to eventually put it to Easter Road chief executive Leeann Dempster.

In September, Hibs said they were not in favour of a review into Gers’ use of EBTs from 2001 to 2010.

A message on the change.org page reads: “This petition will be sent to the CEO of Hibernian Football Club.

“But its questions are obviously of interest to all Scottish football supporters, particularly those of clubs that have publicly stated they intend to drop all future proceedings.

“This is not good enough.”

Hibs fans have already expressed dismay at the board’s stance
And of the Easter Road club’s stance it says: “This is extraordinary, given that the supporters were not consulted in any meaningful way and the overwhelming response seems to be that the investigation should continue as far as supporters are concerned.”

Hibs supporters voiced their anger at a match in September, unveiling a banner that said: “13,000 season tickets. Zero opinions heard. Unanimous?”

That came after a club statement which read: “The board has discussed the matter at successive board meetings, and has come to a unanimous view.”

Rangers won 13 trophies during the ‘EBT era’
Meanwhile, the SFA’s position on the EBT row also sparked a furious war of words between Celtic and Hampden chiefs.

The governing body rejected an appeal by the Hoops and the SPFL to launch an independent review into the game’s response to the scandal that rocked Scottish football.

Once again, it's all about The Rangers.
The haters won’t be happy until rangers are nailed to the wall at hampden about time we fought back the club to quiet on this crap we have had players assaulted on the pitch none jailed dunc Ferguson gets jailed for a silly wee head butted but you can rip rangers to bits about time the club say no more don’t let any away support into Ibrox don’t go to away games starve the guts out of them

Clowns I see the dhims are all over it concerned about the governance of the game , grown men and women spending every waken moment obsessing about a club they don't believe exists . It brings me joy that we get under their skin that much .

Any decent human being would feel sympathy for these poor guys, imagine your life consumed by such jealousy and bitterness.

I must not be a decent human being.

Fill your boots, you cretin - it isn't going to change anything.

You expecting the board to fight individual supporters

They really do want their own Club dead.
4 year in the Championship, just wasn't enough.

Their own Club dead!
That is exactly what they want.

Their club has spoken.
This is simply an attempt by an agenda driven rump to cause trouble.
The petition will,I predict, have a huge number of signatories from the West of Scotland as every Rangers hater and their granny will sign it.
Dempster will pay it no attention and neither should we.
It’s an internal Hibs problem not worthy of a response.
The SFA have already decided to move on.

It’s genuinely feels that most fans from all other clubs feel this way. A jealous lot in this country. They should all know their place.

Their club was a puppet for Celtc for long enough, now the support are puppets for Celtc. Are they more obsessed with hating us, or with bending over and taking what the filth give them again?

One huge Yawn they are fkin boring me with all this shit. We are told to move on its these cretins that cant including the media.

Why do Hibs fans nowadays think that their clubs has any kind of relevance in Scottish football or anywhere else for that matter? They always have been and always will be a tinpot shower of no marks who aren't even the biggest club in their own city.

13,000 season ticket holders? We get more watching our games on Periscope you spoon burning rats!

It’s actually quite funny now, when the SFA, the SPFL and every other club in Scotland outwith Celtic have said its time to move on, yet you are still getting some bitter half wits thinking they can somehow drag this out a bit further. Crack on, it’s just wasting their time and making them even angrier when nothing comes of it.....which is a nice bonus.

900 backers and it’s considered news worthy, does this not tell you more about the agenda of the journo/paper?

I started our petition back in 2012 and hit over 40,000. Barely a peep in the media.

We are loathed in this country and it is absolutely nothing to do with football it's governance or the notion of integrity.

It's anti protestant bigotry.

You can just sense one of these coming up so the gullible can fill some thieving mentally challenged's pockets in the run up to Christmas

More fool them.

It’s the belief that all Rangers fans are knuckle dragging Neanderthals consumed by bigotry and sectarianism.

All of us.

There’s no appetite in the media or wider political community to acknowledge any progress or to accept that those still insistent in singing the old songs with add ons are only of a similar minority to their Republican rousing Yahoo counterparts.

The message then is clear: Celtic = good; Rangers = bad.

They don’t seem to understand that perpetuating that maxim inadvertently perpetuates the sectarian problem itself.

900 backers you say.... LOL

And every one of them with a ST at the Staad de Gadd.

HIVs having arguably their best league season in three decades and the "fans" obsessing about us.

This is why they will always be a wee, diddy club.

strange banner below the one about us given.....

Mismanagement over the next few years led to Hibs becoming homeless and the club temporarily ceased operating in 1891.[10] A lease on the Easter Road site was acquired in late 1892 and Hibs played its first match at Easter Road on 4 February 1893.[17] Despite this interruption, the club today views the period since 1875 as one continued history and therefore counts the honours won between 1875 and 1891, including the 1887 Scottish Cup.[18][19] The club were admitted to the Scottish Football League in 1893, although they had to win the Second Division twice before being elected into the First Division in 1895.[10]
