Holyrood should apologise to FC Copenhagen

Police Scotland yet again shamed our country last night with their out of control behaviour when assaulting innocent FC Copenhagen players simply for their " crime " of winning a European tie at the Piggery. To compound the disorder instigated by Police Scotland, they then humiliate Scotland even further by criminally charging the FC Copenhagen players. Police Scotland, thankfully, do not not represent the good and decent people of this country, who are mortified and concerned by their bizarre and outlandish actions last night. The Danish club and supporters, who were guests in Scotland, are owed a public apology, not only by Police Scotland, but also by our supposed Government at Holyrood.

Police Scotland, Not In Our Name !

Contact the Danish Consulate in Scotland to offer our support to the players of FC Copenhagen.

Take a chill pill mate, due an apology from the government ffs.

You reckon Holyrood, Sturgeon and Humza would have nothing to say if 2 Peasant players were arrested for celebrating winning away from home, mate. ? It would be treated as an international crisis by these scum, and we all know it. These FC Copenhagen employees could end up with criminal records after being assaulted by Police Scotland.

He wasn't arrested for celebrating though was he?

If it had happened at Ibrox then Nippy and Useless would be in whatever country the opponents came from the next day apologising.

The clue is in the title, police Scotland are funded by the Scottish government to ensure the laws of the land are adhered to and applied without fear or favour. This is clearly not the case at the home of the beasts. So , yes the Scottish government should be apologising to guests in our country for the unacceptable behaviour of our law enforcement agency who overstepped the mark.

The FC Copenhagen players were celebrating towards their own supporters and were not inciting disorder of any kind whatsoever. Police Scotland's collective response and actions in deliberately grabbing and manhandling the Danish players were outrageous. It was deliberate assault by Police Scotland, no other term can be used.

I think the police behaviour is a bit bizarre tbh but seriously, you want us to email the Danish consulate? They will probably think you are either a loonball or on the sauce.

You mean like when our own Glasgow Lord Provost and other worthies here in Scotland were queueing up to issue public apologies to Manchester after the UEFA Cup Final ? They were slavering at the mouth to make a bad time for Rangers even worse.

Police Scotland should just be ridiculed and laughed at for their actions. Get all heavy handed and then one of the gets shoved, takes a dive and the player gets charged with assault. What about the 4 or 5 assaults (if that one was one on the cop) the Police did on Copenhagen players.

They just embarrassed themselves massively.

Also, with the SNP trying to play nice with European countries so they can pretend to be one of them still it was strange the SNP Stormtroopers were instructed to behave like that.

I would expect an apology from the Police to Copenhagen and their player but it'll be behind the scenes. The PR will then suggest it's not in the public interest to pursue. Bearing in mind they can't even pursue blatant assaults on people and child sex abuse from a large football club.

We should be trashing the now long discredited reputation of Police Scotland at every turn, be it domestically and abroad. How quickly people have forgotten their scandalous statements concerning Rangers fans deliberately placing children in front of police vans outside Hampden.

Dont sweat it OP

You wonder what it is that draws the low post count folk out.

Getting the Danish Govt / Consulate involved seems to be one of them

We are in a permanent PR war, and sadly, some Bears just don't get why we keep losing the battles in that conflict. There would be demands for heads from Police Scotland to roll today from both Holyrood and the media if players from a foreign club were arrested at Ibrox for celebrating eliminating Rangers from the UEFA Cup. An absolute certainty.

As did the braga players after their second goal at Ibrox last week.
No restraining there nor would we expect it.
No missiles thrown either
The double standards are off the scale similar to here in Belfast and other UK cities were the indigenous are cast as the villains every time

And why would you bother your arse about it?

Honestly, give it a rest. Your likely first in line to complain that we can't sing the BB, but first at the stop to get on the offended bus.

I honestly could not give 2 turds what goes on with teams out with the rangers, for what it is worth, I love Ibrox rocking to the BB, but it is bed wetters like you that have fkd it by complaining about utter pish.

Unless you've assumed the role of Copenhagen liaison officer, take a day off mate and enjoy the rangers being in Europe.

All the bellends making negative comments on this thread should be perma banned imo.

In no other stadium in Europe would players be manhandled by the police then charged during a European match.

Whoooooosh!! As the point of the thread goes high over your head! If more of a fuss was made then questions would need to be asked such as;

1 Why are Police Scotland acting akin to a private security firm for Celtic?
2 Why are they acting in such an over zealous manner to a guy celebrating a goal against Celtic but not for "alleged"crimes involving Celtic
3 Would Msp's all have been rushing to comment had this been a game involving us? Yes,of course they would have!

The Op's point is not about being a "bedwetter", as you put it , its about seeing the bigger picture and questioning Police Scotland as what they are being told by Celtic with regards what they are expecting from Police Scotland within their stadium .

This is questioning the double standards from Police Scotland who are happy to let a Celtic players take a policeman's hat from his head to dance about their stadium with and yet they did nothing but in this case are arresting a foreign footballer for celebrating scoring a goal against Celtic.Celtic fans are singing their IRAoke within that stadium and not nicked and their players goaded our support inside that stadium and not nicked

This whole scenario gives leave to question the judgement and policing behaviour of Police Scotland and the PF, if they do indeed go ahead and prosecute this player and Copenhagen's club steward. We appear to live in a city that wont allow crimes against Celtic but ,who lose evidence that would have prosecuted Celtic supporters crimes against us!

Its all very sinister and its about the double standards and that is the point the OP was getting at through his post.

The OP's point
