How can we get in cl qualifiers?

Why is it the case that we already know the teams we can face - is there not the possibility of playing a team who has won their game in round two?

There is, but we know who they are likely to be.

Because it’s the non champions route, there’s only 8 teams in this section for QR3. Six of which enter this stage, then two that progress from QR2.

Relates to seeding as well.

(If my interpretation is correct.)

In QR3 we can get

Monaco
Winner of tie involving Midtjylland vs Fenerbahce or AEK Larnaca (draw made on 15th June)
Sturm Graz
Union Saint-Gilloise

Would like Sturm Graz and a wee trip back to Austria.

Have the dates for QR3 been set yet?

I wish they would just quickly do the qualifying at the end of this season, that way clubs would know if they had qualified or not and can spend the money on their squad in advance in the summer. Also clubs would still have match fit players and not unfit ones coming back from a summer off.

The way it is now clubs only have 1 week from the end of qualifying until the transfer window closes, doesn't give them enough time to consider transfer targets properly.

I'm sure this has already been covered, but if we beat another Belgian team do we get the league title?

Would the play offs be a team we should knock out or a Chelsea or something? Assuming a Chelsea isn’t straight entry just for example
It'll be one of 6 teams, listed further up the page. The only one it can't be is Benfica as they will be seeded for it, same as us. All very winnable games.

We are in the non champions route there are only 4 teams in round 2. Dynamo Kiev and Midtylland are the seeded teams with Fenerbache and Larnaca the non seeded teams. If Fenerbache or Larnaca draw Kiev and beat them then they take their seeding for round 3 so that's how we know 1 of those 2 or Midtylland are the 4th non seeded side for round 3.

No playoff round is just the 4 winners from Round 3. Us and Benfica if we both go through are the seeded sides so we can face any of the other teams mentioned.

Midtjylland or Sturm Graz for me. The Belgians are a dangerous wild card although hopefully their squad will be picked apart by the vultures before the tie comes around. We definitely don't want to be going to Turkey or Cyprus or even the south of France in early August. Seville in May was bad enough.
Fair point m8, it will be pretty hot over in Turkey and Cyprus.

I don't want to play any of the teams mentioned above if their league season starts very early. Malmo last season started their league season in April 2021 and were 4 months of match fitness and had played about 12 competitive games ahead of us by the time we played them in.August 2021.

That is one.of the main reasons as to why Malmo knocked us out. Scandinavian or more specifically Swedish teams are a 'no no' to be drawn with in CL qualifiers. Gothenburg handed us our ars-es during the 1990's CL qualifiers too.
