How long til they target the refs?

It’s always been the case that if we win our games comfortably we take the refs out of the equation so that’s what we need to do. No 1-0 score lines hanging on and tempting them into a dodgy decision.

They will use any ploy to deflect from their failure. They will be in their element blaming referees, the government, the establishment and the SFA/SPFL despite all these agencies being highly sympathetic towards them.
They have to be victims. It's in their DNA and they cannot act in any other way.
They are always cheated and never defeated.

The most unsporting, ungracious and cheating sporting entity in the world. They truly are a club like no other.

Hughknew this week when answering a quiz question "How many penalties has Tavernier scored this season in the SPL?" He answered "Ten" without hesitation.

Answer is six.
Aberdeen have the same amount of penalties as us, while Celtic have two less than us.

You'd think we were at 12 or 13 penalties, while every other team has 1 or 2, The way they go on.

Some mason conspiracy this is, a whole 2 penalties more than them.

"Ten" is implanted on their brain cell right now.

If you asked them who they want as their next manager, they'd say "Ten!".

Referees probably get hate mail all the time from supporters, sometimes even threats. Players and management do too it's part and parcel of being part of that industry.

But if you're talking about serious criminal behaviour, like gangsters paying him a visit and telling him if celtic don't win the match he's about to referee, then they're gonna cut his balls off, we'd have heard about it. Not even they would get away with doing something like that.

We went eleven months without getting one in the league.

Strange how they never seemed to mention how odd it was that a team that spends most of its time in and around the opposition's box and against deep-lying, low-block defences didn't get a penalty for that long.

Wasn't that long ago that we hadn't been awarded a penalty in the league for almost a year ......a fact that has escaped the mhedia and the idiot tim

Aye, two measly penalties more than a team that's scored just over half of our goals tally and couldn't get into our penalty area.

Fucking crackpots.

Maybe I’m being naive but I think they’re so angry with Baron Greenback & Lennon that they won’t even hold onto this as a comfort blanket this time.

Already heard that the only reason we're doing well is because the refs are giving us penalties.

They don't care that they've all been stone wallers right enough...

10 years ago to the date that the foreign refs were brought into Scottish football because of them wonder if that will ever happen again?

Was going to say the same thing. Must be close to 10 years to the day the refs went on strike because of TLBs comments and we brought in foreign ones.

If I'm honest this tactic is failing due to no fans. The odd poor decision but really nothing compared to previous decisions. Klancy aside I think most refs are fair but can be poor . No fans and they seem to be much better at it. Cue klancy for the next meeting with them though. Certainty.

The good thing is that we are playing so well right now it takes the referees out the equation in terms of affecting the outcome ..... Madden did try his best to get them out of jail on Saturday right enough

He did get them out of jail. They were dead and buried until he gave them a penalty. He also allowed them to retake the free kick that led to their equaliser after blowing his whistle for something AFTER the original free kick had been taken.

We're going to have to win just about every game we play to make up for the helping hand they get from refs.

It's traditional for celtic fans and the manager to question refereeing decisions when things are not going their way.
Club statements seeking 'clarification of the rules' blah blah. Putting pressure on referees.
If their poor run continues expect these tactics to rear its ugly head again.
It has never went away, it's in their DNA , whinging bastards

It won’t be long, they’ll also be trying their best to influence the refs before the next old firm game.

I reckon we’re only one more scum loss or draw away from reliving Walter’s second spell where they were asking for clarification on every and any decision that didn’t go their way no matter how ridiculous.

I’ve been saying this since the beginning, we need to beat refs, authorities, teams lying down to them and THEN the teams we are playing, to have any chance of winning this league.
They realistically need to “beat” the teams they’re playing, albeit with a helping hand.
It’s one of the reasons I’m not overly excited about our position, all the other factors will reign us in at some point.

Yep, that's their current go to. And no mention of the stonewallers denied or that the vast majority of the pens have been when we were well ahead.

Now talking about we haven't had a penalty against us.
Totally ignoring that teams are hardly getting near our box, with few shots and lots of games with not one on target.

Also take into account red cards. How many times did we give refs the opportunity to send our players off with silly tackles.? Look how we changed our style of play and game plan to ensure that side of our game could not be factored into referee’s human error.

How long until we are hit with “They have not had a red card for over a season?”

I fear for our players becoming targets. It would not be beyond these animals to seriously attack them in the street. If our points lead increases, who knows what these yahoos are capable of doing.

If it happens the Club needs to react strongly and explain that it really has to be expected we will get penalties if the opponents continue to haul our players down and try to play basketball in the box.

Since 1888 was the right answer but in modern day times the SFA / refs sold out to Celtic 10 years ago at the refs strike and they have owned them in everything but name ever since.

Including their made up compliance role invented, instigated and implemented by Paul McBride.

We played on a lot of windy days though, you have to take that into account.

They will go after them big time building up to the next old firm game. Don't rule out the refs going on strike at some point to disrupt the league.

Or the fact that we have had only 2 more than them, having played 2 games more.

He knows exactly what he's doing saying that, won't be long till its spread about as fact among the hordes that Tav has scored ten penalties so far and its thanks to cheating Masonic refs we're top of the league. Laughable desperation from them.

Probably cos theres nothing for them to complain about.

The refs have put an incredible amount of effort into making sure they never have any problems with Celtic ever again.

Empty grounds have helped with one or two crucial decisions going our way(motherwell and killie away) theres still biased refereeing.

How can they go after Bobby Madden for example when he turned the game for them at Easter Road ? Hes been doing the same in Celtic fixtures for years hes always been incredibly biased.

Every time we see dreadful performances by our match officials and them missing(ignoring) clear/simple decisions and the rugby league stuff we are told "refs ur just shite". But if they were shite/hopeless/garbage then Lennon would have used a terrible performance or even a bad decision to do what the op is quite correctly suggesting Celtic usually do, target match officials blame them.
