How many players has Morelos hospitalised or badly injured during games ?

For months now I've been reading and hearing of this out of control thug, hothead, nutjob, etc, that is Alfredo Morelos. To earn such a notorious reputation in the tabloids, one would imagine that Alfie is a player who has ensured opposition players are regularly carted off the pitch on stretchers or has broken a few legs or inflicted serious injury on opponents, also ensuring months long lay-offs on the sidelines, that Morelos is an old-school enforcer like Norman Hunter or Chelsea's " Chopper" Harris ? However, it appears that none of the above has ever happened to Morelos opponents.

I genuinely think benkovic exaggerated an injury to come off early as he knew he was being terrorised by Morelos.

To answer your question absolutely none!

It is utterly mental the " thug" reputation imposed by the mhedia on Alfie, when it is thoroughly undeserved and unwarranted. Our club should not be allowing them away with it.

zero
his 3 reds has seen no player leave the pitch

ones that "got away" that did see players leave the pitch injured:
dorrans last season
coulibaly this season
shaw this season
jack this season

just off the top of my head

Absolutely none.

Though the filth statement about him actually said "in which of our players was injured". Meaning Ralston.
Complete and utter lying bastards and of course no one pulled them up on it.

Methinks a couple of his red cards have been double-yellows, with "average fouls" (if any) and some back-talk to refs ... or not running back to them when called like a school-boy. Remember that tosser in the Europa League? You see that in any game ... and by Morelos' standards, e.g. Graeme Shinnie would only play half a season.

When you look at it, much of the talk about Morelos actually comes from current and former Yahoos, who needlessly get media attention like there is no tomorrow. It is no more than fan-babble, but since it is chosen for and is making headlines, it produces a feeling and aura that Morelos is worse than "Aguero the Vampire". For NO reason whatsoever, IF one would actually look at games with an open eye and see stuff that Morelos does all over the pitch, sometimes punished, oftentimes not.

The OP's point is a good one as the media have gone on and on and on about Alfie, having "issues" and discipline issues, painting a picture of a player that is out of control . The media have painted him as a crackpot & lunatic that has injured player(s) . The truth is though, nobody has been badly injured by Alfie and this OTT media witch hunt on this young foreigner has to stop.

most of his reds are just due to frustration as he gets wound up by defenders and refs have seen all the media hyberbole so target him specifically

if he takes away that sort of his game, then he loses a lot of what makes him tick when it comes to playing it. Boyd actually mentioned on Wednesday, he's a guy who will keep trying until he gets the goal, a lot of strikers will miss chances and start hiding but not Alfredo

The irony is that those propagating these stories want Morelos to leave Rangers while at the same time ensuring that potential buyers will think twice about bidding for a 'hothead'.

We could have him for another couple of seasons. :))

Will you leave it alone with all this common sense and reason. We all know Scottish football and the mhedia don’t subscribe to such madness.

Clearly alfie has a long way to go but best comparison i can make is alan shearer. He was a nightmare for defenders.

That dirty bastard at Kilmarnock - Power. He’s effectively put Dorrans out for the best part of 15 months, and nearly did Jack a nasty one with that ridiculous high boot.

Then there’s that hammer thrower at Motherwell who put Cardoso out for months in the Betfred semi final.

Morelos rag dolling defences and giving back as good as he gets though ... much worse apparently.

He's the best player in Scottish football and the Earl Haigs don't like it, hence the witch hunt. It's as simple as that.

Alfie has been demonised and trashed in the Scottish mhedia as a " thug" and there is no evidence of that whatsoever. The longer this nonsense has been allowed to continue, the more he'll suffer from refs.
