How many pts will we get in Europa Group realistically

Draw at home to betis
Draw away at limassol
Defeat in Prague
Win v Prague at Ibrox
Win v limassol at Ibrox
Defeat in betis
8 Points probably going in to the conference after Xmas

With Danilo and Cantwell out we could struggle. Hopefully Lawrence stays fit and Beale plays him behind the strikers. Think folk are writing Prague off a bit too easily as well. They dismantled Zagrab at home.

I have zero confidence in Beale's tactics or selection therefore I am more pessimistic than I would normally be. My head is telling me that...

I think we will take nothing from Betis and can see us take 4 points from Aris, and 3 points from Prague. Therefore 7 points.

I would happily revise my predictions with a new manager, however even with Beale my heart says
1 from Betis, 6 from Aris and 3 from Prague giving us 10 points and qualification.

Same here mate. I have exact same predictions.

I have little or no faith in what Beale is doing.

I'm gutted, because for most of the time since 2018 European football has been great for us and been very enjoyable, but i fear we are back on a downward spiral on that stage.

It's hard to tell, mainly because we don't know what sort of Rangers team will show up.

But if I was to guess now :

Real Betis Home - Draw.
Real Betis Away - Defeat.

Sparta Prague Home - Win.
Sparta Prague Away - Defeat (based on how we're playing this season).

Limassol Home - Win.
Limassol Away - Win.

10-points.

That would probably be enough?

Even with our current form, I fancy three wins and hopefully a few draws as well. We are still very difficult to beat at Ibrox (PSV ended up lucky to get a draw) and I don’t fear Aris at all for an away three points as well.

Will be 50/50 between us or Sparta for 2nd place or heading to Conference. The way we are playing 7 points puts us in Conference I'm afraid. Hope I'm wrong but six points v Aris and a home draw with Sparta.

4 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat. The one defeat will be betis away I think. Prague away is the one I wasn’t sure on so have it as a draw currently

I’ve not read the whole thread, and it’s probably already been said, but I remember this thread from last year and some of the utterly bonkers answers. I think we’ll manage 8-9 this year. Wins at home against Sparta and Aris and 2 maybe 3 draws from the rest

A straight shootout between us and Sparta I'd say. Don't know how that mob are playing but looking at us just now it's a tough ask to go to Prague and get a win which we will probably need.

It’s absolutely bloody chronic Jim. We clearly aren’t playing that well but the way some are going on you would think we turned into Ross County overnight.
We have been beaten by Kilmarnock, the worst celtic team ive seen at Ibrox and battered by PSV.

We are playing atrocious football with next to no style. Our ball retention is next to non existent, our forwards cannot hit a barn door and our defence has a brain fart or two most games.

What the hell do you expect?

"Our best chance of success is we get hammered and sack the manager".

This place has totally surpassed itself these last couple of weeks!

Your negativity genuinely drains the life out of me.

Think I’ll pop you on ignore. We’ll until your next username anyway

Don’t think it’s about how many points we get. It’s about qualifying from the group to the next round.

Based on performances so far that is, in my opinion, unlikely.

For the manager to say that Saturdays performance away to St Johnstone was a “strong performance away from home” maybe sums up his attitude.

We were playing against the worst team in the league and struggled to a 2-0 win.

Struggled?

Really?

It certainly wasn't great to watch but it is simply rewriting what happened to say we struggled.

It was a standard non-event SPFL away game. The type we've seen hundreds of over the years, from better sides than this one.

We struggled for shots on target, struggled for chances… could potentially have had a penalty against us and the game would have changed then.
Everytime the ball comes near our box it looks like we lose a goal. So yes I would say we struggled.

All about opinions

I really can't see us with less than 10 points.

I think it will be 12.

FWIW I was spot on last year with 0 (before a ball was kicked)

I think we should be able to beat Aris home and away (6 points)

I an hopefully a draw against Betis on Thursday and we will lose away (1 point)

Sparta we will win at Ibrox and Lose in Prague (3 points)

10 points.

Butland had the quietest game ever so I think you are talking nonsense.

It was a dull game, but at no point during it did it ever look like we were going to drop points.

Butland hasn’t been to blame for any of the goals we have lost.
Are you telling me you feel confident that the defence is solid? Do you expect the defence to keep a clean sheet every game? Are you confident that we won’t lose a goal(s) every game we play?

He should be quiet against teams like St Johnstone

St Johnstone had a spell right after half time when they were on top and getting spaces in the final 1/3rd.
