If season is paused

Surely given the amount of money we pay for the administration of our game that they would have agreed on the processes to be followed in the event of a member club has to go into lockdown. Points deducted, games postponed, league paused etc?

you’d have thought they’d have agreed rules in the event of such inevitable breaches. Useless bastards the bloody lot of them.

Yup they should have a transfer ban imposed on them for the foreseeable, a pause In the league would allow them time to get bodies In the door before any more points are dropped. It will be interesting to see the European outcome, regardless of what the scottish government decide.

Yes but not a points deduction

There would be hell on if it happened to us this year and this has not been a rule before the season kicked off.

EDIT.
Could the point not be argued they fielded an ineligible player?

Doncaster is now in a very difficult position, he will need to show the government action is being taken but that will go against what his master lawwell is instructing.

The game stopping now and more tv money being lost will be the final nail in the coffin for a lot of clubs and surely the end for the spfl in general

Nope.

Guidelines (travel and isolation) are different from agreed competition rules with set punishments.

Aberdeen/poets should be punished as individuals.

Doubt in the back of my mind though, you never know what wee Nikla is going to do.

Why’s that? They deducted hearts 2 points and a £10k fine for fielding an ineligible teenager 2yrs ago.

They make the rules up as the go along

Only way to stop it is a fine for the club, 6 game suspension for the player. Ideally I’d deduct the team 15 points, as should Aberdeen be deducted points for their recent show. But it won’t happen cause of the paymaster general!!!

Deduct the unwashed 15 points, the sheep get a 7 point deduction. Let’s see if he drove to Barnard Castle to test his eyesight first.

This is another reason when ending the league was so stupid.

You could have "trialled" how you need to work under Covid restrictions with 10 or so games to play.

But no they had to ruin that season and risk starting a full one to be ruined too as they iron out the issues.

%^*& all will happen to them they’ll do a deal where their game against st mirren and aberdeen gets postponned that’ll be the likely outcome

Celtic will offer up Bolingoli as the sacrificial lamb, (he’ll be sacked) they’ll then agree to pay a fine. This is exactly why they’ve been so transparent about this in first place. Mentioning two tests have come back negative. That’s not the point though is it! It’s negligence and endangering our game putting the government in an awkward situation. They’ve already said one more incident and it’s shut down.

Let’s be honest Celtic are only transparent on certain issues when it suits them To be. They’ve withheld and rebuffed their internal peado ring for going on 40 years.

I wish the discussion everywhere would switch to "surely with regular training comittments, the club must've sanctioned this, they must be accountable"

Edit: boli trip, I mean

Nothing will happen as the SPFL Chairman is employed by Celtic's owner and their lawyer used to be Celtic's.
If we are excluded from Europe if the league is suspended, who will Rangers and Motherwell take legal action against for loss of income ? SPFL, Celtic , Aberdeen or EUFA ?

If he was to self isolate at the weekend surely that means he was ineligible.
Out with covid if a player was classed ineligible to play ,whether he was cup tied, or not registered and that team played him, surely there’s got to be a punishment.??

SNP will be champing at the bit to put out some tough action. They generally hate football anyway, and making a big stooshie about it would be yet another squirrel to distract from the exam shitshow.

This is a classic case of the organisation (Celtic) distancing themselves from the employee (Bolingoli) pushing them out to be punished in the hope that the organisation isn’t. The organisation has more to loose in what is a vital season to them. Lieswell loves to control the narrative and this hands all of that power away and into the hands of the first minister. This could be the very situation where despite all his empire building, he’ll find himself powerless in the eyes of the government. We’ll see...controllers hate not to be in control.

The Sheep should really get hammered Aberdeen was already on lockdown when their idiot players went for a jolly.

If Morelos did the exact same thing as Bolingoli we'd get hammered with a heavy points deduction, a fine, humiliated in the media etc.

I reckon some excuse will be made because he hasn't tested positive. Probably terminate his contract because he's rotten anyway and the mentally challengeds will probably come out of the full thing being praised.

They were quick enough to call the league and award it to Celtic because of COVID .
So surely at the very least there should be severe punishment to clubs who’s players have failed to stick to the rules such as points deductions, results void and opposition awarded the points.
We all know this , if it was it us that had broken those rules we would have been absolutely hammered and there would be calls to have us thrown out the league.

They haven't been punished for a history of child molesting so I'll be shocked if they do because he got on a flight to spain

Some punishment their young player will have got for noncing a girl on Instagram. Nothing

All football clubs should be asking their players for their passports at the moment. Clubs are responsible for their own players and ensuring that the league continues. The responsibility lies with the clubs. Boligate will explode in the next 24 hours.

Three game ban for Morelos (or Roofe, if Alfie is sold)

Seriously, should they be punished? of course
Will they be punished? of course not.
That's the way Scottish football works.

Then we have Peado FC saying one of their first team squad buggers off to Spain during the season, and they say they had no knowledge of it? it appears there are a hell of a lot of things going on at that stinking place they had no knowledge of. Are the media in Scotland gullible or complicit? We all know the answer to that one.

“After careful consideration the SPFL has decided that the season should start again from day one, so Aberdeen will play Rangers at Pittodrie and Celtic will visit Kilmarnock this weekend ”.

I'm just waiting for the announcement that the Japanese called Doncaster to a meeting this am, the outcome is that Celtic accept full responsibility for the Players actions and in a show of Sporting Integrity the Killie v Celtic game will now be replayed with Celtic self determining that Bollingolli will be excluded from the match day squad as a punishment for his actions. Cue the adulation from the Media!!
