If this offends you, contact the police

This is descending into a desperate tit for tat. If that is a chargeable offence need to build more courts and employ more judges.

The Orange Order has some very clear principles it stands for and they are very worthy principles to live by.

If the police thought they broke the law then they would have taken action. This is clear Scotland has laws and they need to be used to curb hatred.

The lack of arrests and prosecutions given Police Scotland’s current record would indicate the OO March wasn’t a hotbed of bigotry.

Equally we need to be sensible here. That video isn’t a hate crime.

Always boils my piss when the rabids try to say FTQ is political.

Her Majesty is as much the head of a religion as the Pope.
There was a point around 15-20yrs ago where the media were going after both Rangers and Celtic supports over songs being sung, and that songs about religion had no place in football stadiums etc.

Lawwell came out with a bold statement that, “Celtic fans sign songs that are political in nature”, and as if by magic nobody ever criticised the Cetic support for singing about religion ever again.. not only that but, “it’s political” became some sort of a free pass.
Doesn’t matter that the politics are warped and have been used to justify killing tens of thousands… political has come to be more noble and worthy than religious and that underpins the narrative we live under today.

I’ve never been able to find an article that sources the statement. Curiously enough, by 2013 and umpteen UEFA fines, he was appealing for fans to stop signing political songs but the genie was well & truly out of the bottle.

I would agree under normal circumstances. Our enemies don’t want a two way street of sanitised coexistence though.

Offensive language can’t be subject to their interpretation. Unfortunately, it necessitates a universality when it comes to treatment.

Sad I know, but alas these are the times that we live in.

Await bbc Scotland and STV news with headline reporting on this.Sky will be along in a minute to tell us how selic have dealt with them.

Do you think "f*ck the pope" is a hate crime when sung or shouted?

Deep down they know they are British and have paid plenty of tax into out monarchy , Thier sing song on their septic peasant wagon won't change a thing

'%^*& the Queen', as head C of E, this is a direct equivalent to FTP and is nothing short of disgraceful sectarian behaviour that needs to be reported, investigated and comments sought from MSPs. Go to work please.

You got their town ?

I have got name as celtic supporters and address as bus.

EDIT: Just put unknown in both categories and sent link to said video in last section.

We have lost this battle. People not engaged, voting people into power cause they feel some obligation to call themselves a working class guy so labor (catholic) got the vote and now the true anti Brits are in power. Talk about constantly shooting yourself in the foot. We have allowed only one religion to be the oppressed (catholics) along with allowing them to conflate racism with religion. Pour in the idiotic behavior of fans not able to shut their trap and video the same. Ibrox filled to the gunnels and the add ons ring as loud as possible. We simply have not played them at their own game. We capitulated in dignified silence. What is needed now is educated attacks, educated fan base singing Rangers songs by any tune, no add ons. Run for council, join the Orange and return it to its fundamental truths and be proud of who you are. Make no apologies and leave nothing out there as ammunition. The stats of catholic v other population in Scotland is staggering about a 6th yet they run every organization. We have put them there. Time you stopped supporting those who hate you

Would you prefer tit for tat, or the constant hounding of everyone from David Edgar to the club, to your own friends and family for much less than what is sung in this video?

While I wish it wasn't considered a hate crime if anyone finds it grossly offensive then under current legislation it is a hate crime. Honestly think the effort should be put into binning the hate crime bill and malicious communication act rather looking for things to be offended about.

Sorry what are we meant to report here? Some unknown men, on an unknown bus, in an unknown place (possibly but not definitely in the UK) have sung a sectarian song?
I would have to agree with you that as a starting point we need to identify at least one of the bigots in the video.

Ok so we all pile in get them arrested. What next? They go find something similar. More arrests. How long do we go on for?

This isn’t the same as the H&H situation. That was a deliberate attempt to stop fan media having a seat at the table. Attack on us for challenging the monopoly of the pathetic media we have in Scotland. Spot on to fight back and highlight the outrageous hypocrisy on display.

But fans going to a match with their mates. Where does this end? With a whole lot of people hurt.

If you sing FTP or similar on a bus going to a Rangers game and are filmed several things WILL happen to you;

1, It WILL be plastered over both mainstream media and social media. Face, name, employer, the works.

2, Rangers WILL ban you sine die and WILL punish the bus with sanctions on ticketing.

3, PS WILL knock on your door and arrest you.

4, You WILL receive the combined attention of MSPs, journalists and every scumbag with an axe to grind.

That is all fact. It is 100% fact and is EXACTLY what has happened within the last few months. It is not made up, or hyperbole, it is exactly, to the word, what happens.

With that being a self evident, provable and recently confirmed truth, we have people seeing the video above and trying to tell me that we should not get involved in tit for tat? Seriously? Utterly imbecilic attitude that goes a huge way towards perpetuation the situation where 2 people committing the same 'crime' at the same time WILL see 2 completely different outcomes depending on which head of religion the want to see 'fucked'. You really, really need to give your head a wobble if concerns over tit for tat are really inside it.

This attitude is the reason we will always be behind them in the media war.

In instances like this, it's not about the police (for me).

It is, though, about publicising and illustrating that sectarian and anti-social behaviour (along with drunken stupidity) is not one-way as the politicians and media like to present.

I can jam with that. It is certainly one for sharing far and wide on social media and posting directly to the usual suspects to highlight their silence.

The boys on the Rangers bus singing the song about the Japanese Celtc player were identified by the Supporters club themselves .(.and dealt with it accordingly..) maybe the Celtc f.c. and the supporters club/bus will do the same.....? ;).

It is the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications Act 2012 that started this. Once they started being subjected to it, they cried foul and called the law an ass. We are in the midst of them trying once more to have the law applied in one way and not universally, hence the new mantra of anti catholic and anti Irish racism.

We can’t allow this to be determined by them. Ordinary punters having a laugh with their mates will be collateral damage in this. But the kicker is, once you post this private behaviour online it is no longer by definition ‘private’.

They’ve always painted themselves as political romantics for as long as I can remember. We’ve always been accused of being the sectarian bigots.

Lawwell’s opinion should have been challenged more vociferously at the time, but unfortunately he was given latitude in his proclamations by Joke McConnell and then by Salmond when trying to court the RC vote.

Whether it is or isn’t is not the issue.

If a Rangers fan comes out with FTP then it’s anti Irish catholic racism/sectarianism and the media and politicians are all over it.

I’m not making any case for the FTP brigade, in fact I wish they’d just gtf.

But what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Someone who comes out with FTQ is every bit as guilty as the FTP fans. But you won’t hear a peep from the media or the politicians.

That is the issue.

This along with defending a serial domestic abuser on another thread makes me think you are at it.

Sent to Police Scotland.
Lets see if rhw acum are as swift in their actions as Rangers were.
The police should be taking action against the singers of the sing and the bus convener for the alcohol on the bus. Plenty Rangers buses get stopped and searched, this should be no different

.. which would put it all at around 2002-04?

This all certainly contributed to this idea that they were politically motivated and that justified it all, as opposed to religiously-driven bigots in blue.

Lawwell created a monster in giving them the political status to hide behind though. They don’t recognise any authority, and put it down to being political macericks!

Cracking post.

We didn't ask to play this stupid fùcking game, but we'll play by the same rules as everyone else.

Complaining about it being "tit for tat" just tells me that Rangers fans should accept being held to different standards.

I'm amazed that on the back of a whole RSC being blackballed we have attempts to pass this off as "a couple of guys singing on their way to the game"
