From a financial point of view, for the rest of the season there is the possibility of much more money to be made in Europe. Winning the SPFL compared to second is worth about an additional 1 million pounds.
Getting through to the next round of the EL is worth 1.1 million euros plus another sell out at Ibrox ( over 1 million pounds ?) plus more market pool money. On the other hand if it hurts us on getting CL money next season that would more than offset extra money from this season.
