Is it fair game to hit our players?

Did the ref leave the cards in the dressing room at the half. Some of those tackles at the end were a joke and highly bookable. Shagger was quite right to the c unt it tight after the match. Also sure if we were dishing it out the cards would have been flying everywhere

It was shocking at times I counted 4 bad fouls in the first half lost count in the second. Scottish officials are terrible

do the refs think its their job to even up the game, there genuinely could have been 3 reds today, I hope SG raises his concern at post match interview

They definitely do that shîte, seen it Ibrox this season. If we're winning comfortably they let the shîte teams away with fouls, less likely to award us penalties etc.

It's going to end up costing one of our players a season out of their career. Very fortunate for that not to be the case with Davis today, two shocking challenges right through the back of him.
^^^ This!! Gonna eventually take one of our players out for a length of time/for the season!! Constantly allowed to get away with blatant bad fouls that should be reds all day long and even yellow at a minimum but somehow are deemed a free-kick or waved on!! Scandalous imho!!

Plus side, shows how robust and resilient our team and squad are that we bounce back up and manage to shake it off and how little amount of injuries we get these days!! Credit must go to the players and coaching staff for that!!

No Surrender Rangers!! Bow to no one and no adversity and overcome all obstacles put in our way by those that fear us, our enemies and all that we are and all what we stand for!!

WATP!!

lets hope there is a bit more disciplined refereeing on Wednesday, dont need any injuries before we win on Sunday

Our players today had to have half an eye on late challenges, which they knew were coming because the referee showed no urgency to punish them.
However, it is really just another day at the office for a Rangers player in Scotland.

It is open season on our players by all the refs in Scotland. Plus a couple of really dodgy euro refs that were definition of corrupt.

Anyone think VAR would be the answer to assist with decisions considering our low quality officials. Or would it be a worse mess than the EPL

The ref will look to protect himself from the media.... if that means letting that sort of stuff go then a lot of them will do it.... its a way to hand the opposition an advantage the idea that its bad luck is absurd.

This ref seemed to think it was open season on any Rangers player that Naismith and any other Hearts player felt like having a go at

They tried to kick us off the pitch. Last 20 mins was one after another

There were two, maybe three tackles that were automatic yellows in the last 15 that he showed no interest in dealing with. That is a scandal. To say nothing of the illegitimate allocation of added time. 6 subs, the usual time wasting, an injury after the 4th goal and yet it all translates to 2 minutes added on! Did we need one more goal to go top of the League or something???

It’s code 195 paragraph A of the Scottish Refs Rule Book....it says

“accchh well yuse are pure gonny win this 5-0 anyway so might as well enforce the there’s no point in enforcing the rules rule”

Think that's supposed to be the Captains job as the games in progress. We need a Scottish captain to keep on top of these cnuts. Barry would have been all over Robertson today. So would Brown.

I said on the match thread before the game how it would be. It's not that I'm mystic Meg, it happens every game. Scottish refs are laughing at us now despite the comments of Goldson and SG. What chance do ball players have in this country?

Robertson was a disgrace.

Just about to say the same thing, we are going to eventually get a bad injury to one of our players because of these clowns.
Foul after foul with not so much as a word but when one of our players commits an sort of foul the cards out as quick as you like.
Wish we had 11 McGregors because we really don’t put any pressure on the atrocious refereeing performances.

I think the fixtures were arranged to give us the hardest most physical game possible should we reach the final. Who have they got Wednesday night, an easy game at home I would guess! Just looked, Hamilton at home.

Berea should have been off after his foul in the D second half , Naismith too for being a greeting faced moaning wee arsehoal
Well done the Gers today....WATP

Wouldn’t make a bit of difference. They’d back their man every single time.

Was a classic example of the teams being reffed differently today. He made it clear they could get away with murder, we got bookings for first challenges. How that wee Judas bastard never got booked, I don’t know.

It has been going on for years first tackle for opposing team could meet the criteria for manslaughter but walker criagan et al would say honest challenge just letting the player he was in a game

This is my greatest fear for Wednesday night. You know the sheep will come out kicking and the ref will turn a blind eye. The fact we came out of today’s game with no injuries is damn near miraculous. Every game is the same hopefully we get through Wednesday with no injuries and 3 points in the bag.

There was a program on SKY a few weeks back showing EPL referees and their supervisors going through each decision they had made the previous game and dissecting each one. Should this one have been a yellow/red card, could you have let them off with a warning etc. Did you communicate with your assistant and why did you come to this decision? Do you think they do this in the SPFL?

We fans wear tinted specs and are never gonna see things the way the refs do.

But some stuff just baffles me. The one near the end when Stewart got felled on the 18 yard line for instance. There’s absolutely no reason to go down there if he isn’t fouled. That wasn’t only a FK it was a yellow card.

I only managed to see the second half due to RTV being a bit uncooperative, but there were at least three incidences of never mind the ball just get on with the game that all went unpunished.

Great result but putting that aside for a moment, why are other teams allowed to do our players over and over again throughout the match – almost every match?

It's a miracle that we haven't had more serious injuries. The refs are a disgrace.

Naismith should have been off for an elbow and then a kick on Goldson, both seen by the officails, not even booked.
Whelan should have been off for bad fouls from behind on Kent and then Davis, both seen by the referee, not even booked.
The tackle on Ojo, no booking.
Don Robertson should be demoted, he has no idea about the rules of football or just doesnt want to apply them to teams playing against us.

If they did that the majority of our refs would be sacked

Exactly, the first half was no better. Among other things, Ikpeazu should have been off for a disgraceful lunge through the back of Davis who's lucky not to be seriously injured.

One of these games we're just going to have to start taking bodies, even if it means a couple of 2 red cards. Souness style.

Oh they know the rules alright, it’s just the latter of the two you mentioned that are applied.
Look at most mentally challenged games, they very rarely get a player booked.

We shouldn’t have to take bodies, this about our players being given at least a minimum of protection from absolute thugs.
We would definitely get a couple of reds if we went down this route, we’re getting booked for any kind of first tackle as it stands now while the opposition get numerous free hits on our players.
That’s the biggest thing that has to be highlighted.
