It's been quite the season

The heartbreak of losing Walter and Jimmy.

Our manager leaving half way through the season.

Losing on penalties in a European Final.

Throwing the league away in the space of 5 weeks.

Injuries to key players forcing us to play massive games without a recognised striker.

... and despite all that, despite winning just one trophy in the end, it genuinely feels like one of the most enjoyable seasons I've had as a supporter.

Those players deserve a break, absolutely mammoth efforts from them all in the last couple of months.

All in our 150th year too. It’s been an absolute rollercoaster of a year.

A rollercoaster for sure but I can’t describe it as enjoyable after Wednesday. All still too raw. Immensely proud of the squad all the same.

Glad it’s over myself, rollercoaster is an understatement.

Still at least we ended on a positive note, once the pain of Wednesday subsides a bit I’m sure I’ll reflect on it more fondly, excited to see what the summer holds.
