It's mental down at Newcastle v Spurs today

RE was a laugh. It's the likes of History and home economics that were a waste of time. Who cares about the past or how to sew or cook.
History is crucial. You can have no idea about who is where you are or where you are going unless you know where you have come from or what has moulded your world in the past. I'm get you might not like it and that's fair enough. I hate geography. But that does not make either a waste of time

See that is the difference. I loved geography and got higher in it. But to be honest it done nothing for my career, It could well have been my History teacher/s, cannot remember who they were i took so little interest in the subject.

Be hilarious if they still got relegated.
Changing Bruce will not magically make NUFC players any better and chanting Bruce out will not change that for their fans.
Get in there. No top manager is taking that job.

Poor squad, brutal run of fixtures, relegation place.

I think they'll sack him soon, and bring in someone to stabilise them until the January window opens.

They basically need to limp through the next 10 weeks or so and focus on dropping as few points as possible.

After that they get a chance to open the cheque-book and bring in the cavalry. With a big spend, a fresh start, new owners, a fresh mindset and Arab money, they will have lofty ambitions.

Playing in the EPL with a new squad of quality players will attract a huge number of interested candidates, and it's no surprise that Stevie G's name is being linked with the new regime and the new set up.

Let's not forget, Chelsea were also-rans (1 League title and a few League / FA Cups) before Abramovich arrived; and Leicester City even less than that. It's incredible, the new life a few hundred million can breathe into a tired old club.

The New Newcastle story is only just beginning.

Newcastle have a team of players that are only good enough for the Championship, replacing Bruce under this current squad of players will not change unless they bring in serious quality players unfortunately as they are not good enough.

I was there today. Took my boy and bought tickets before takeover was announced so it was surprise how positivity was flowing through the air and then the football started.

I heard the person who needed treatment in the stands is awake so fingers crossed for them.

He’s up in bed awake and doing well mate, the Spurs player saved his life today.

That's a bit harsh on your old teachers tbh. You would've only known them whilst they were doing their jobs, not when they were socialising. For example, are you non stop fun and a joy to work with/for in your own form of employment and behave and act in exactly the same manner on a night out as you do within your professional setting? If you're a TV personality or other form of entertainer maybe I could see the answer being yes, can't think of many others.

I left the teaching profession a while ago but personally, for obvious reasons, history in general, and what can be learnt from it, still fascinates me. Clearly you don't have an interest in the subject and it certainly wasn't for everyone, granted, but what bores one person can inspire another and vice versa. Each to their own.

Boring Bastard

Can sign players for 50m and pay them hundreds of thousands a week

Dont have a defib on each stand
They did, they’ve confirmed that the fan was treated using a defibrillator that was in the stand, the club doctor took across another one in case it was required.

Thankfully the fan is responsive in hospital, hopefully a full recovery ahead.

There would appear to be a real possibility they could go down. That would put a spanner in the works regarding a rebuild. January isn't an ideal window to be starting a rebuild.

How many players will the get in January, and sell, and how long till they settle? That, coupled with the fact that every team is going to raise their game against them could make it difficult for them this season.

In the next 10 league matches they’ve got Chelsea, Leicester, Arsenal, both Manchester clubs and Liverpool. Throw in away games at Crystal Palace and Brighton.

I don't see them being a contender for the title next season either. Even if they stay up.
