Jim Goodwin on the Rangers instant penalty flag-up he insists shows there's no VAR excuse

He was sitting there in his armchair, lights oot, by the fireplace, logs burning, beard twinkling in the burning embers, in his tweed thinking jacket, smoking his pipe.....contemplating.

wank.

Aye, but Goodwin is a mentally challenged so the rules dictate it’s a shite idea now.
Warburton...Plastic pitches are shite. Keevins....Warburton talking shite.

Brenda...Plastic pitches are shite. Keevins...Plastic pitches are shite.

Czech Republic have VAR and that is a league comparable to ours in terms of finance.

Slavia will be used to it a lot more than us when we play them so gives a small advantage IMO
I think you are missing the Elephant in the room. A huge big elepahant, painted in luminous and phosphorous green.

In Czech land all the RC referees don't have a Protestant team to hate.

In Czech land they don't have a press devovoted to observing one team's 'trangessions' to the nth degree, whilst ignoring anothers altogether.

Doesn’t even need technology beyond ear pieces. Just put officials at the ends of the pitch for to help with decisions in the box.

“Not going to sit on the edge of their 18 yard” we’ll see about that, ye won’t have a choice it’s gonna be all Rangers. “Wave after wave” as wibble would say

Does he fùck.

He has made up the 'at least half' on the spot. As if Jim Goodwin has studied every penalty award in the league. Total bollocks.

He's a fùcking rentagob balloon.
You seem surprised that a manager has watched all the games in the league this season.

So Goodwin uses a blatant pen not being given to say there are too many soft pens

Didnt hear him complaining in the league cup against us

60 odd pens in how many games?

Fouls are like shites, a soft one is still a shite

Regardless of his comments, referrees and linesmen in Scotland are very poor if not biased against certain clubs.
VAR and contactless football is ruining the sport.
The EPL is so rotten to watch nowadays.

Just my opoinion.

Again it was during a press conference, he isn’t going round selling stories to the Record:D

Of course he hasn’t studied every penalty in the league but we can all agree with the quality of reffing in Scotland he probably isn’t that far off.

I do believe he has a good point, when you look beyond the fact it’s coming from him, it’s actually a good idea. The exact same idea Krissy Boyd was talking about on Wednesday night as well
Like most managers, he'll have watched the vast majority of, if not all, games this season either as highlights or full 90.

But we had the situation where a player dived, got a penalty, got cited, and found “not proven”. Surely I am not the only person to doubt whether any version of VAR is workable in Scottish football if controlled by Scottish officials
Wont be workable if we are going to label penalties on a scale from soft to stonewall, a penalty is a penalty unless it is not regardless of scale!

That is a fantastic historical comparison. Well done indeed. Love it.

But, the guy's spot on. It would be better if one of ours had suggested it, McCann for example. We'd agree without a thought. IMHO.

“...tweed thinking jacket,...”

Excellent stuff, well played

This would be simple to achieve. Every premier league game in Scotland is covered by at least 4 cameras with the ability to have a monitor at the side of the pitch for live replays.
all it would need would be communication between the officials & the director.

half of the 63 were debatable? im sure we could contest 20 or so that should have also been given for us!

You know he's been doing a press conference for Saturday's game and has been asked about it, right?
I think some of the people commenting on this thread think he has taken up vlogging or something. Like and subscribe if you want to keep hearing Jim’s views on all things Rangers and all things Scottish football.
