Would have thought he’d have been better holding off to see if he could get an England call up in a couple of years. But does he want to play for Nigeria? Has he made a decision?
Either way he's had a lot of positives so early on in his Gers career, long may it continue.
They've changed the scheduling of it now - the AFCON in 2021 is scheduled to run between 11 June and 9 July.Good stuff, although not so great when we lose him to the African Cup of Nations every couple of years (if we hold on to him that long).

There was a report back in March that Nigeria were confident of convincing him to represent them, so I'm assuming he's interested. But does he want to play for Nigeria? Has he made a decision?

What an ugly dude
He is English but wants to play for Nigeria through his Nigerian heritage.Honestly Had no idea he was Nigerian.
Just assumed he was English
He’s been vocal about wanting to play for Nigeria.
Bowyer looks like some sort of alky reject from Lord of the Rings.
Much as this is good news for the lad I hope it doesn’t get to the point we lose him for crucial periods of the season for daft African international fixtures .
Honestly Had no idea he was Nigerian.

Played during the summer now.
He wants to play for Nigeria though. Nigerian parents, obviously feels a strong connection with them.He could/should be looking to play for England.
Why do folk get annoyed about what Lee Bowyer said?
He was merely pissed that Charlton got a token fee for Joe because he moved to Scotland. Had he moved to another club in England, Charlton would have raked in a fair few £million.
Bowyer seen any future transfer budget disappear in an instant.
I can get why he was pissed off and desparate to encourage Joe to stay down south.
Amazing for the lad, his career is only going in 1 direction.
3 EL qualifiers and 3 goals already he's been flying since he joined us.
Adored by his manager, coaches, team mates and fans.
Now called up for Nigeria who have a very good team already.
