Joe Worral last night for Forest

You admit you only saw the last 10 minutes of the game, yet you see fit to rip him to shreds, despite people who watched the full 90 minutes gave him MOTM.?

Classy.
Er I'm saying I can't comment on his performance except for the goal where he's turned his back.

I'm then looking at his post match comments and you can derive your own opinion on them and maybe compare to the words and actions of our club from Gerrard to squad players.

The very last point I make is on the ridiculous nature of the commercialisation of that league where you get a trophy for drawing a football game.

Absolute backs to the wall, siege type defender. Always had an error in him and they tended to be exposed when he insisted on playing the ball out from the back. If he stuck to the basics he was a good enough player. Didn't like his attitude but I'm not going to give him the "worst player ever" type of treatment that a lot get on here when they dont set the heather alight. Sure he'll have a good career but for me hes not in the same league as Balogun, Goldson or Helander. Probably on a level with Katic.

The Derby goal was nothing to do with him half-turning his back, his fellow centre half made a right mess of the clearance. Some strike though to be fair.

My impression of him was and still is that he thinks he's better than what he is. Played well in the bigger games up here as he had to concentrate then games against the smaller teams he would lapse because he didn't think he had to be fully focused. Wouldn't get in our team now which shows how far we've come.

Would file him under 'did a job' for us.

A lot of players are arrogant. It only seems to be okay if you’re world class.
As someone else said, it mostly stems from people taking exception to him saying he wanted to do well then go back and be a Forest legend, something we’d love to hear from one of our players going on loan.

A lot of people didn’t like him because he appeared arrogant.

Some people need to let it go.
I didn’t like him because he wasn’t very good - decent against the poets but let himself down (and us) against the likes of Kilmarnock.

Nothing against him personally, but not the standard required.

Was good in Europe and played well in the OF at new year (1-0) apart from that he was useless. We would have fared much better if we had just
kept Katic in.

Used to do my fucking head in with that half turn backwards run towards his own goal when a striker was running at him with the ball.

The striker would pick the ball up 45 yards from goal and end up within 15 because he would just back off all the way to goal.

Never a top player and wouldnt be good enough to make our first team now. He was about the level of player we had at the time and just part of the rebuild to how we look now.

Loved the “fùck the Celtic” line but outside of that he was mediocre, he seemed a like a bit of a simpleton and certainly shouldn’t have gotten as much game time as he did ahead of Katic. Nothing against the guy personally but I’m glad he’s gone.

Still nonsense mate. He was fine most of the time and excellent against the mentally challengeds. Couple of howlers has altered people’s memories.

Think he had one really solid performance against them in which they barely got out of their own half and had an inexperienced wean up front (whose name I don’t even remember, that’s how good he was).

He’s a Forest fan but he genuinely thinks they are a bigger club than us even though he experienced playing for us in OF’s and in Europe. Crazy.

He wasn’t anywhere near as bad as some fans say he was also btw.

People not liking him as a player isn’t really what I was referring to.

I don't understand the rush to diss a former player?

He came on loan and was decent but had a mistake in him.
I think like a lot of players from England he underestimated the rest of Scottish football.
However, it is always worth remembering that it is eleven against eleven, and if the other players are as fit as you and are up for it, then you have to be up for it as well, no matter how much better you are.

That said, I wish him all the best with his career.

I’m a forest fan and don’t want him at the city ground , the guy is a liability

I know a number of season ticket holders who rate him highly and who believe his loan spell with us was very beneficial to his game. The same people who tell me that Burnley have been sniffing about for awhile but think he is overpriced. However none of them speak of him as a liability

Yeah exactly. If McPake or someone said that, he’d be a new icon.

He was fine for us over the loan spell, a couple of poor moments but generally solid enough.

He’s the type of guy who will have a decent career in the game consistently around lower-half EPL/top-half Championship status.

It all goes down to the fact that he made it clear he was here to improve for Forest long term. I’ve Zero issue with that. He’s a boyhood fan. Would people rather the usual shite from guys like Wanyama saying they supported Celtic since boyhood etc

Worrall is what he is. A perfectly decent centre half who when he kept the sensible head on was good but who far too often lost concentration for a team at our level.

I don't believe he was an upgrade on Katic to play ahead of him though. Didn't benefit us in the long run.

I still stick by my prediction that he will never move to become a regular EPL level centre half at a decent club.

His best shot is getting in with a backs to the wall team like Burnley but I'm not convinced he's even good enough for that.

He is far too poor on the ball to ever make it with one of the bigger clubs.

Incidently one of my mates in work is a big Forrest fan and he really doesn't rate him. Always a mistake in him is the common phrase

I've no idea why a lot of our support hate Joe Worrall. I think it's because Gerrard played him over Katic and Katic was a fan favourite.

Worrall gave his all every game and ultimately it wasn't good enough. He went back to Forrest with my best wishes and I have no ill feeling towards him.

He may have played a small part in the Gerrard revolution but he played his part. He will always be welcome back and I hope the fans who have an issue with him give him a break.

I’m surprised that he evokes so much emotion. He was average but still he’s a young boy that goes with my best wishes. Hope he had a good career.
