Signing Souttar is a free hit for the club. I doubt he is on a huge wage probably because of his previous problems and is obviously a decent player who can do a job for us. I guess he was signed as back up anyway so no real concerns at the moment.
I trust our money people better now to take his injury history into account and structure a deal that protects us. Other than his achillies injuries I don't know if he has had many other injury issues during his career so I admit to not knowing his history but this current one might be totally unrelated to previous ones and just bad luck. I still think he has the potential to be a very decent signing that doesn't impact on our ability to make any other possible signings in the same position if we need to.
