Jose Mourinho to Celtic ridiculed by former Rangers star Kris Boyd, who jokes Portuguese more likely to join Ibrox side

KRIS BOYD has ridiculed the notion of Jose Mourinho joining Celtic - and joked that he is more likely to join Rangers as "that's a bigger club".
The former Ibrox striker and SunSport columnist couldn't resist having a bit of fun at the Hoops' expense when it came to the idea of the self-styled Special One inheriting the Parkhead hotseat.
Jose Mourinho has been sacked by Tottenham

We told you how No 1 target Eddie Howe had agreed in principle to take the job, although Celtic have yet to confirm the appointment and Howe's representatives saying their man wouldn't be joining any club until the summer.
Ironically, he has also emerged as a contender for the Tottenham job which is vacant following the dismissal of the Portuguese boss after just 17 months in charge.
Mourinho - who masterminded Porto's Uefa Cup win over the Hoops in Seville in 2003 - famously did his coaching badges at Largs.
Celtic are thought to have made an inquiry about his services prior to the appointment of Brendan Rodgers.

And that is all enough for the Portuguese to enter the market to become the next permanent Celtic manager - with Mourinho 'ready to go again'.

But Boyd - breaking off from his Sky Sports commentary duties from Rangers' draw with St Johnstone - reckons there is only one club job in Glasgow which would attract him north of the border.
And that is the Rangers job should Steven Gerrard leave the club.

He said: “On the Jose Mourinho stuff, if Steven Gerrard was to leave Rangers he might want to come there because that’s a bigger club.
“But Celtic? Absolutely no chance.
“Let’s move on.”

I don’t think they realise he’s still being paid the £15 million a year and will be for the remainder of his contract, a salary of a million pound a year ain’t going to make him terminate his spurs contract

It is worth ridiculing as as well. I am sure Jose will get a high level gig somewhere else of higher standing that Celtic. Unless he wants a right challenge of working with no money, a group of scumbags as fans and a board that only need to line their own pockets to consider something a success it's highly unlikely he'd be interested in that shower of shit.

I am not even sure Howe is even remotely close to wanting to join Celtic either. He'll be holding out for, well any other option really.

After the season Celtic are having they’ll think they are getting Howe but actually end up with a Native American version of Caixinha who likes to greet everyone.
