Largs Thistle v Kilwinning Rangers

Scottish Junior Cup Quarter Final.

Barrfields Stadium. KO 2.15pm.

After a win for the Buffs last weekend in the league, when both teams rested players, this quarter final tie should be a cracker and a big crowd is expected.

Mon the Theesel! :))

Largs Thistle 5-0 Kilwinning Rangers

What a game!!!

Theesel were 1-0 up at half time but in the second half it was non stop action.

The Buffs conceded 4 goals including a penalty and had their keeper sent off as well as their No 9.

A great game for Theesel who did not have a bad player. There were many candidates for man of the match but Mark Millar, once again, gets my vote.

The tea bar queue was the longest of the season. Actually it was probably the longest for at least ten years!

Onwards now to the semi-final which takes place over two legs on the weekends of 30th/31st March and 5th/6th April.

Mon the Theesel! :))

Lie has played Rossvale twice, drawing away & winning 2-1 today. The visitors are fairly physical, very fit & quick. But they suffer from 'Shinnie' sydrome, constantly claiming for decisions, whinging to the ref, calling for bookings & generally behaving like spoilt weans. Both teams still have a shot at 3rd place.

Suffer from “Shinner “ syndrome?

A fantastic game Largs were simply outstanding, even 11v.11 Largs were the superior team, could and should've been more.
