Kerryfail Meltdown - Yes, they are nutjobs!

A quick question, didn’t want to start another thread , when was the last time the tramps got the west enclosure at Ibrox? I thought it was 1988 …

Looks like you're correct. His hammy must be in the sea.

I had hamstring surgery last year during lockdown (or as it was easing and could play tennis). Nhs diagnosis was grade 3, specialist referenced it as grade 4. Mine had separated from the pelvis so had to be reattached. Couldn’t even do physio for 4-6 weeks after surgery. Nothing coming out that this lad needs surgery. Harry Kane had surgery and he was playing I think around 10-12 weeks.

Hibs have made a few new signings i think so they'll probably be all over the place and incoherent as a team. Hoping they'll get the new manager bounce and it goes our way. I predict a 2-1 win for Hibs.

Hope so!

It was these corresponding fixtures nearly exactly a year ago that I finally felt the league was wrapped up.

We’d followed up the old firm win with a victory at Pittodrie, then they dropped points at Home to Hibs - also on a Monday night IIRC

They did but you have to remember that night they had about 10 players out or just back from covid isolation. I’d love to think Hibs might get a bounce but it’s more likely they’ll roll over and get the belly’s tickled

Yeah that was their first game after Dubai-gate.

Not getting my hopes up too much.

As long as we do our job. We’ve got Aberdeen away and Celtic away to come, but other than those I was looking at our fixtures on the run up to the Ibrox old firm and I can’t see us dropping too many points. Most of our away games are against lower half sides

Apologies if I've missed this on the thread but on the huddleboard they are panicking today as the rumour is from their ITK posters that Furuhashi is out long term (12 weeks). Him, Turnbull and Celtic medical staff flew to London the other day to get their updates and Furuhashi has a grade 4 "unusual tear" and is fucked.

Just sharing what's happening on the dark side, for what it's worth the other posters on there are taking it as gospel due to who posted it.

Hope it's right :D

that means he starts tonight then no doubt

Not sure they will win but draw is possible and to that lot that’s as bad as a defeat hits take the lead then it’s more likely as they come further forward and the hivs pace does them
Exactly.

Same story/mantra as last season.

A draw as bad as a defeat for them now.

no idea how hibs play now since Shaun Maloney came in, plus the addition of their new players, could work as an advantage for them

Aye, NHS probably using the old grade 1 to 3 system. High performance environments probably using the update British athletics system.

Anyone fancy Hibs to do us a favour tobight.
Stop sniggering at the back there !

Maybe. Not really too bothered at this point.
In the last nine fixtures I doubt anyone would have predicted they would drop points with 0-0 scores with Livingston at Parkhead and St Mirren away. Especially given the circumstances of that St Mirren match.

They'll drop points against someone eventually.

It's comfortably in our own hands for the time being and any extra points they drop is just a bonus.

From now until the split they have Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, Motherwell, Livingston and Us away from home. I can see a few dropped points in there but you never really know where they will come from. Statistically, I don't think any SPL side can be relied upon to take points from them at home but if you had to pick then it seems Hibs and Livingston might be your best bets.

I'm interested to know, as I don't know the answer: did Hibs (merely) embrace their Irish roots/culture, or were they an overtly Catholic club in their formative years?

The former isn't necessarily fomenting sectarianism, while the latter is.
Case in point is Liverpool, the city.
It has a larger Irish catholic population than Glasgow.Documented worse sectarian strife in the 19th century than Glasgow. It has RC schools and 2 major football teams(born out of a dispute) and nowadays it has no significant sectarian problems.
Glasgow has one football team, set up to separate the Irish diaspora from integration and include the Scottish catholic minority (hence the bollox about it being Irish/Scottish ) into its cult.
This Club, like the church that set it is is a master at the black art.
The Quirk of fate is that if Queens Park(the biggest, most successful club in the country in 1888)had went professional and joined the league, they would have been seen as the natural club to represent the Scottish Protestant majority and compete against Celtic, who never had to earn anything. They basically transferred Hibs 1887 cup winning team to Glasgow, given land by the RC church and set up under the guise of a charity.
From conception it has been a disgusting stain on our city, society and country.

They seem to drop points, as you alluded to, in games you wouldn’t necessarily expect them to.

You looked at their Aberdeen/motherwell/Hibs away run in October and were hopeful of some dropped points which didn’t materialise, and they won the latter two at a canter. But then drew at home to Livingston when they could have gone top ( for 24 hours.)

So wouldn’t necessarily expect them to slip up in those away games to come you mentioned.

But mercifully our destiny is in our own hands. Providing the gap remains, as a minimum, 6 points when the full time whistle blows at Torbett Towers on 1st Feb, then I don’t envisage a route to the title for them

always go with No Chance
then if the Yahoos do drop points its a welcome surprise & if they spawn another 97min winner, i was not getting my hopes up

A sound strategy to live your life by I think.

Hopefully not another 97th winner though because I can’t be arsed with another night clicking refresh constantly before the first “FFS Jammy bastards” post on the match thread at 9.41pm

I believe Hibs were set up on a sectarian basis, parish of St Mary. They lost most of their team to the mob who formed Sellik and subsequently they went bust. They reformed as Edinburgh Hibernians and of course claimed “an uninterrupted history!”
a very small minority support Hibs because of religion, most of their support is not RC

How exactly can Rangers force another club to accept bids? This imbecile and his demented mind also seems to think clubs decide transfer policy based on what the Daily Record or Sun writes.

As for the shameless tactics remark his Rangers obsessed mind obviously doesn't seem to remember nonce fc paying Hibs 27k for Didier Agathe who was a mainstay of their team under O'squeal as well as buying Lustig for a nominal fee after a pre-contract was signed.
He isn't alone in this way of thinking I've seen Hearts fan say the same . To their minds Rangers have phoned up the press you know those ones that don't have access to Rangers . Told them they want Souttar now and could you write stories about it being in Hearts best interest to let him go to Rangers now .

They seem to forget that Rangers have this policy in place of paying for access . They still think the press will do our bidding for us which is rubbish . Perfect example of the press coverage of Rangers is today's press conference with Borna Barisic . The player never said or hinted to anything that this headline claims .

Can’t try that hard, he has gifted us the 3 points in the last two league games we have played them in.

He is just a big hammer thrower who can’t control himself. He is out tonight for a shocker of a challenge against Aberdeen, and has previously maimed one of the beggars players as well.
Good enough for him. I love it when these fuds miss the games every player wants to be involved in. Good players are able to control their aggression and keep themselves on the park and available for the big games. He hasn't shown that he has the intelligence to learn, adapt and in turn improve.

This is what grasping for any crumb of comfort looks like .

Revising history - as usual.

Weren't they going to batter us 4 or 5 nil in the run up to the last game. Didn't hear anything then about not being 'bedded in', or unavailable.

As it turned out, it was us with players and our defensive mastermind manager out with Covid. They created a couple of chances, but we still won with room to spare.

C unts.
