Kettering v Leamington Sounds Lively

"for hitting the ref and bad language"

Aye loafing the ref was bad but there was definitely no need for foul language as well.

He didn't really.

Ref puts his hand up to get him out his face / back up for distancing or whatever, he slaps it away. A couple of verbals after that, continuing till he got off the pitch. Made out to be much worse than he is but the guy is still a prize plum.

I once played in a match at Glasgow Green probably late 70s. The referee was telling the wall to move back another few feet. One opposition player refused to move back any further. So the ref tells him he`s getting booked. The bampot steps forward and boots the ref right in the baws . Game abandoned. Now that was absolutely losing it.

Played in a game once years ago, player chasing the ball after the forward had rounded the keeper, ball went in, defender jumped up and grabbed at the crossbar to save himself from getting a face full of net, the bar snapped (wooden one) ref sent him off for deliberately damaging the bar:eek:game abandoned, then the rammy started, 5 or 6 ended up red carded, player who snapped the bar was given a 6 month ban:cool:
