Just listening to the Daily Update on H&H and a subscriber suggested we look at this guy. Obligatory Youtube link posted. We all know we oculd make most of us look good in one of these clips, but I am very impressed with this guy's finishing. He is also a bit of a unit so should be able to look after himself. This is exactly the market we should be exploiting. Also with most likely losing wee Alfie in the summer, we could do worse than at leats look at this player. What says FF?

I still think Simon Deli from Slavia Praha. Dunno what the cost would be - but, at least he has medals! Win tonight - and it's a Czech double this season. Czech Cup last season and Czech league the season before.
Although Deli is a centre half.

You will notice that Mlada Boleslav are sponsored by Skoda. Mlada Boleslav is where Skoda's are made.

My recomendation today, love H&H.

As I said in the update I really think this boy is a talent we should be looking at.

Have we had an outstanding Russian player in our league? Would steer clear.

The ones we had years ago were either injured or technically gifted but lazy bassas

Although he is Russian - what I would add though is that with playing at Mlada Boleslav, he has shown he can adapt to a new country. So, there is a bit less risk there. A bit like signing Colombian Morelos from Finland..........

He was Ukrainian but then they had a choice what country they played for he chose Russia so obviously Russian background in his family as a a lot of Ukrainians have

He would have been Soviet when we signed him, not Russian. Played internationally for USSR & CIS, then Ukraine but never Russia.

He wasn't Russian but not only played for them he was the last captain. The old USSR that is done a good job for them .

He was when we signed him.

Always amazes me just how often people get this wrong. He was never Russian and USSR wasn't "Russia" either.

I dunno if it's the "R" in USSR that gets people but Miko was never Russian or part of a group of nations which became Russia under the USSR banner.

They were the USSR (Soviet), not Russia.

He looks a bit like a taller, more agile Kris Boyd. Good at finding space in the box and scores all his goals from there.

Would need to see what the rest of his game looks like.

Looks ok but what worries me is the lack of any left foot finishes. There might be just the one in the whole video, would prefer someone who can use both feet.

A goal every 88 minutes in the league last season is seriously impressive. Higher level than what Morelos was coming from too albeit he's older than Alfredo was.

I hope Gerrard isn’t planning on sandwiching him into a back 5?

its still within the eastern block?

Still like the look of this boy, wonder if we ever kept tabs on him since Krupa. A Hateley type, great with the ball at his feet and can head a ball.

Aye he was Ukraine was part of RUSSIA.

I'm not sure if you're fishing or not but there's literally the explanation of why that's wrong three times on the post now.

*edit* got to assume with his 2nd reply to ssblue he's just ignorant about it all.

Miko joined in 91 with No Leg and Ukraine were still part of Russia then??

Ukraine wasn’t part of Russia. It was a member of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) which was a union dominated by Russia.

Ukraine gained independence in 1991 when the USSR dissolved, signalling the end of the Cold War.

Yes mate Miko signed from the Russian leauge along with No Leg June 1991

What is it you're trying to achieve here?

I’m completely confused by where this is (supposed to be) going.:(

There was a year between Mikhailitchenko (1991) and Kuznetsov (1990) signings amongst other things like the status of Ukraine LOL.

No he didn't.

Kuznetzov (sp) signed in 1990, played against us in the close season of 90/91. Made his debut in Oct 90 v St Mirren.

Miko signed in 1991, made his debut I think at Brockville in the Sep, I think. Tried to lob the goalie from the half way line.

You're right I'd actually put 2 years and changed it as I though Oleg, signed another season before.as I was picturing him in the away strip that we had for two seasons back then.

Was there not a bigger gap between that friendly and him signing?

I know between him singing and arriving there was a delay so he could finish their season before coming here. Didnt think the friendly has been that summer. Again, maybe I'm thinking of the Mark Falco/ McCoist game against them from 87-88

Point being, they didnt sign together as the other poster said.
