Agree with this. Plus there seems to have ben tremendous co-operation from Liverpool F.C. which was acknowledged at the conference.

One of the most positive aspects of the press conference was that King effectively put the idea down to Mark Allen which should ease those with misgivings over any manager/director of football conflicts.

Now the only thing that needs to happen is for Gerrard to be backed -- really exciting times ahead.


PS: As others have noted, Gerrard would not be here if he was not satisfied with the assurances given, so I am really excited and positive about the coming years with Gerrard at the helm.
