If his goal had stood today, as it should've, would you have started this thread?surprised there's no been a thread .but how bad had he been .personaly I wouldn't have brought him back
here say mate .but the goal didn't standIf his goal had stood today, as it should've, would you have started this thread?
Haw you the op was on a roll until you asked a question that will have stumped him. What about his goal?
Didn't answer the question mate, he wasn't gonna be first choice and given the service he's had at times then he's a back up player and no more than thathere say mate .but the goal didn't stand

I know that why I said what I did .the goal didn't stand mate
no a scapegoat mate .but he dosent help himself .lack of movementStarved of service, and takes the only good chance created in the whole game.
Easy scapegoat but doesn’t come close to identifying where the real problems were today.
It’s very much like his first time around he’s made the scapegoat for every bad team performance, regardless how good bad and indifferent he plays

You know he scored right..?surprised there's no been a thread .but how bad had he been .personaly I wouldn't have brought him back

Really..??Said plenty if times before he signed that he only really plays the last month or two of the season.
Did it the first time round. Why would he be different this time?
He had never been good in the air when the ball is launched up to him,to get the best out of him you play the ball into space or low across the goal(ala his goal that was disallowed) for him to run onto.quite frankly so bad was the supply today alfie would have struggled to get a decent chanceHe still does that shrinking thing when the ball comes to his head much like a turtle retreating into its shell. For a guy at around 7 ft he wins a very low percentage of headers. Terrible signing.
Apart from the OP you mean..Nonsense not seen one person on here make him the scapegoat for today.
Ludicrious suggestion.
He still scored a perfectly good goal, which is what we pay him for..the goal didn't stand mate
Our three best attempts on goal came in the first half and indeed the whole game was from LaffertyHis movement was good first half, second half not so good but I’d put that down to sheer frustration at what was happening behind him.
Kent coming off did not work out well for us.
And yet he scored today..I thought he was almost useless today
He looked as if he was going to be sharp in the first 10 minutes - then went on to be anonymous for the next 80
To me his whole performance was epitomised by his rant at Middleton for an attempt at a 30 yard pass that missed him by about 10 yards
He just doesn't hack it for me - I was swept along at the time of his signing with the idea that he'd improved since he left us last time, was more mature & would know what it meant to play for us
IMO he falls short on all 3
And yet he scored today..
His best of skill this afternoon. His chewing gum keepy uppy is good.
If you are a striker and you score goals by definition your performance is acceptable..Yes he did
But surely you're not trying to tell me that made his performance acceptable ? Or even almost acceptable ?
