Lawrence out until at least March

He seems like he’s going to be very injury prone, another one of our top players who will miss the most important parts of seasons and return by the time the league is over.

Never had any injuries of significance in his career.

He has never been injury prone before in his career before he signed with us, it’s just horrendous luck

Not sure why Gio thought he would have him back as he has ruptured his achilles and is effectively out for the season.

No wonder we are looking for a media comms person as this is an area of the club where we are an almighty clusterfuck.

Absolute torture. Lawrence was well on course to becoming one of our main men.

The new manager has got to get Lowry into this team. Feels like he's the only option for some creativity and goal threat at this stage.

I don't care what anyone says, there's no way it's coincidence that we have such a bad injury record. Theres negligence going on imo.
Give it a rest. Anyone who starts with 'I don't care what anyone says' is not someone who cares about facts or evidence to base judgements on.

The amount of broken records on this forum these days is incredible. No matter the thread its mostly going to be full of sack, board, medical staff, director of football, manager, manager dog. We've had terrible luck with injuries just accept it.

I wouldn’t put Lawrence down as injury prone throughout his career but it underlines the importance that we see a shift in our recruitment policy.

Only physically robust players will cope with the demands of our schedule so anyone we bring in must fall under this bracket.

Signing Roofe, Jack, Souttar and the like and praying they’ll miraculously overcome their injury problems has to end.

Anyone saying February / March were being told they were talking pish by one of the troll accounts.
Its been rumoured for a while that him and Goldson were more long term but posters still had it in their heads we would have everyone back after the World Cup.

Season after season, players who in seasons past were fairly resilient persistently carrying knocks and missing games, players being cleared to play then breaking down again a game later only to be out for months again. Aye alright pal, I'll give it a rest.

And as for being a broken record, I never criticised the medical staff before, as you put it "just really unlucky" was my take on it. Not anymore, it's utterly ludicrous.

Our injury problems are not normal.

Maybe we have medical staff with fake qualifications bought abroad somewhere.

It is actually a big problem in the medical profession, a lot of people with fake qualifications bought abroad.

HAHAHA

If you dont laugh youll greet
That was my reaction too. Obviously not laughing with joy, more laughing at both the complete lack of surprise and general absurdity of our injuries. Wouldn’t even surprise me if he’s played his last game for Rangers, that’s how bad it is with us.

They need to talk to us, someone has to come out and properly explain the current status of all of our injured players, what has happened to Lawrence that we didn't know a couple of weeks ago? The soundbites made to fan media with the usual %^*& of to the fans won’t wash. What the %^*& is going on?

Only 28 but I cant remember the last player to come back from a long term injury with us (in recent times) and make an impact again.
It's old to get a ruptured achillies tendon. If that's what's wrong with him of course. I'm assuming that with the time frame.

Am I right in saying this is a completely different injury?
Who knows.?

If Gio had used game management like any decent manager he'd have had him off the park at 4 0 up and gave valuable game time to a sub.

Instead Gio stuck Lawrence up up front as a lone striker. He got inured last kick of the ball.

Rangers dealt major injury blow as Tom Lawrence ruled out for months

RANGERS have suffered another significant injury setback after Tom Lawrence was ruled out of action until March.

The former Derby County captain has not featured for Rangers since August and missed the final weeks of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s tenure as Ibrox boss.
Rangers had initially hoped that Lawrence would be back on the park shortly after the World Cup break to ease the injury nightmare that plagued Van Bronckhorst throughout the campaign.
But Herald and Times Sport understands Lawrence will now visit a specialist in London to assess his Achilles issue and faces an extended period out of action this term.
The loss of Lawrence comes as Rangers continue to search for Van Bronckhorst’s replacement in the dugout and the bleak news on his injury will be a significant blow for the next man in the door at Ibrox.
Lawrence made an impressive start to life in Glasgow this term and scored three goals in as many games as he netted against St Johnstone, PSV Eindhoven and Hibernian.

His final appearance came in the win over Ross County at Ibrox and he addressed his situation in a post on his Instagram account last week as he said: “Tough couple of months with injuries, the hard work continues to get back under the lights."
Rangers return to action with a Premiership clash at home to Hibernian on December 15 and it remains to be seen how many of the walking wounded - which also includes the likes of Connor Goldson and Kemar Roofe - will be fit to play their part during the second half of the campaign as the Light Blues seek to cut into their nine point deficit to Old Firm rivals Celtic in the title race.

When it rains it f*cking pours for us FFS!

2 year contract. First year of it gone, second year of it will be playing to stay here.

Far too many players on the treatment table right now

Who the f.uck is on our medical team? Shipman? Mengele?
