Very nice touch - in this instance credit to Celtic, Lennon and Lawell
Play nice all they want, they’re not getting more than 800 tickets again.A pair of cunts , but fair play to them in this instance.
He did sound absolutely gutted on Wednesday night in fairness.
A fine gesture by Celtic that will be appreciated by Fernando's family and all at Rangers.
Walter Smith carried Tommy Burns' coffin. That's something I think of a lot in times like these. Our greatest rivals, both detest each other, but can show human decency when required. Shame we can’t say the same about the media.
Lennon's eyes told his feelings. You can't hide what's in the eyes.
he was gutted, 100%.
stark reminder that an old rival around the same age is no longer here.
all of us of a certain vintage all did it back then.when I think about it now I cringe at the thought of itI just assume your young. I used to be like that and to my shame used to sing about the Munich air disaster. Wouldn't even think about doing that now as it was sick, considering what happened to our fans.
Good on them. Respect as it is due.Just seen Lawwell and Lennon over at Ibrox laying a wreath for Fernando.
I thought it was Sutton , but now I think about it ...Pretty sure Fernando gave Alan Thomson a few late nights.
We are even united in our contempt of the media right now. One of the first comments I read on the story that rag ran with THAT picture of Mols was perfectly summed up by a Celtic fan. He ripped the writer a new one.Our greatest rivals, both detest each other, but can show human decency when required. Shame we can’t say the same about the media.
I found it difficult to read the other thread on Lennon when people descended into the usual rivalry and insults, but these moments really aren’t the time for that. Forget about what we all know about Lennon for a day, the fact is his comments were very respectful and to my ear, sounded very heart felt.
But remember he competed against Fernando directly, when you’re a relatively young man and you see that happen to another man you were a up and close to on a professional level, that’s surely got to affect you, and it certainly sounded like it affected Lennon.
People need to leave all the other shite at the door for a day, as someone else said, they didn’t have to do this but they did it, and it’s a nice mark of respect for a man who deserved it. These are instances where both clubs generally always do the right thing.
fair play to the pair of themRespectful gesture, its all about honoring and paying respects to Fernando.I for one applaud them for doing it.
Not all fans of football are so respectful unfortunately, but fair do’s to those two for stepping up.The way it should be - respect to the two of them.
It's very sad that it takes something like Fernando passing to unite football in Scotland albeit for a short time.
Nice touch, I also thought Lennon eloquent and sincere on Fernando earlier.
Like Christmas Day in the trenches. The way it should be - respect to the two of them.

There's a couple on this very thread that this will apply to.Well done to both and hope that some of their scumbag support who are that fücked in the head and against it choke on their cornflakes in the morning reading the headlines.
Thank you for a sensible comment.I found it difficult to read the other thread on Lennon when people descended into the usual rivalry and insults, but these moments really aren’t the time for that. Lennon seems genuinely cut up about Fernando's passing. I'm sure a lot of our and their players stayed quite near to each other around the early 2000's.
Go get a life ! Your utter lack of class is extremely regrettable and not befitting of our great club or Fernando's memory.& Hollicom
Fitting tribute from our only rivals....the silence is deafening from Fester Road and the place of manure ...they think they're our rivals but they're only here to make up the numbers
