PETER LAWWELL has shelved plans for a state-of-play address to Celtic fans, according to reports.
The Hoops chief executive has been the target of supporters' ire in recent weeks as the club's dismal campaign continues.
While several have called for him to leave his role in a bid to allow the Parkhead club to move on.
Now, according to the Daily Mail, plans for Lawwell to address the fans on the current state of the club's review of the season so far have been shelved.
The decision has reportedly been made in the wake of negative reaction to his apology for the club's trip to Dubai earlier this month.
Lawwell has been the subject of Green Brigade banners outside Celtic Park in recent weeks
And the fan group hit out at his "parody-like apology" in a statement last week.
In part, it read: "Promised 'added value' for our investment, our latest instalment came by way of a Peter Lawwell parody-like apology for the inexplicable Dubai trip.
"The insulting claim of being the 'most affected club' by the pandemic fails to disguise his own neglect and demonstrates a shocking lack of self awareness.
"The Dubai episode has been representative of our season as a whole - short sighted decisions, predictable outcomes, contempt for fans."
