Legia Warsaw Forum

His point was that singing doesn't win games, so not sure why you're using the UB protest games as a counterpoint. Wasn't that when we had our best form of the season?
The debate me and the other guy were having is that I think an atmosphere is all about singing and cheers, he thinks it’s made up of groans etc too which I find ludicrous as groans etc are negative. I stand by my point that singing is the main part of a Football atmosphere. As for the UB, ask any player, heck you don’t have to, just go back a week to when the manager was saying the team needed Ibrox rocking against Hibs. The noise at Ibrox comes from the UB, no one can debate that. So when they had their proteSt it was no coincidence as has already been pointed out to you that Aberdeen gubbed us.

Singing ! What is it with the singing, it does %^*& all to gee the players and doesn't win games. Atmosphere isn't singing, it's cheering, groaning, gasping, encouraging, shouting, singing all with the flow of the game. I think some would want a guy with a loud speaker in every section so the mystical power of singing wins us games

Obviously the atmosphere in Poland will be intimidating, but on a big Euro night Ibrox can be electric. The vienna fans were good but it was just all choreographed. They were actually quieter when they scored. If anyone says Ibrox says Ibrox isnt intimadating (albeit in a different way that Polish fans chanting repetitively) they are mental

I think we can play this well and have a comfy two legs. They will need to come here so I think a 'let's treat each other as we wish to be treated' attitude would be good. I'm really welcome for any input but have a friend hoping to recon with a contingent of their fans and think this could be to our advantage.

Ok lads, Louden is Gers only so any ideas where they can drink near the stadium before the game? I might be getting roped into escorting a few of their mob so friendly suggestions only :D

Progres were all in the Louden with their yellow tops on
You're exactly correct, but maybe it's because Progres didn't have three stands worth of fans arriving. It's a decision to respond to rather than challenge, anyway. (It's not my boozer, etc.)

I was thinking it'd be easy enough to get them into a Glasgow pub (Bier Halle, etc) in big numbers but somewhere near Ibrox is trickier.

You do know that if the Polish google translate is anything like ours, you've probably just asked them for a square go.

It reads, as a casual observer, as 'Please don't kick our cunts in when we visit'

Some nutter called ClintHill has posted on their forum if they start trouble they'll get battered on and off the pitch.
That'll probably get us both punted from the Legia forum so there's the end of that.

P.S If Clint Hill could post his travel itinerary before threatening the Polish fans that'd be great. It's likely a mentally challenged.

No way did someone say that.
Verbatim:

'Rangers supporter.

I strongly advise all of you not to try your pish with our support. If you step out of line, we will not only beat you on the pitch but off it too. We have the strongest fans in Europe, as we proved last year. You have been warned.

If you lot behave, I hope you have a good time when you come to Glasgow. If not, you won't. We both hate Celtic so have something in common, let's focus on that, have some beers and enjoy the game. '

Got to be a brendan trying to stir it.

Best two I've been to was Marseille in 1993 and Juventus in 1995, I was surprised at the criticism Delle Alpi got as the atmosphere was brilliant I thought. Best non Rangers was Feyenoord Ajax, hard to tell if it beats an old firm as I wasn't as emotionally involved.
I was in the delle alpi aswell that night I always tell people it was the best away atmosphere I experienced away in Europe but is rarely mentioned the whole trip was bedlam great memories going on the up loyal
