Celtic have applied for An upgrade to training facility in east end

I said this a few weeks ago

Celtic Football Club today announced that it has applied for planning permission to launch a hugely exciting major re-development of its Training Centre in the East End of Glasgow.
The intended re-development of the Barrowfield site, located near to Celtic Park, would see Celtic unveil another first class training facility, including one of the largest indoor football arenas in Scotland, featuring a FIFA approved top of the range full sized artificial surface.
The new re-development will also feature a fantastic state of the art gymnasium, as well as brand new extended parking and changing facilities.
A further phase of the re-development would also see the construction of new refreshment and grandstand facilities for spectators.
The new indoor facility will allow excellent training opportunities, particularly in poor weather for the Celtic First Team. The complex will also be used by Celtic’s women’s teams and all Academy teams.
Ultimately, the new site will feature 2 full sized outdoor grass pitches, 2 first class artificial pitches, both outdoor and indoor, aswell as an outdoor warm up area.
The new development will complement Celtic's established First Team Training base at Lennoxtown, which was opened in 2007 and has been a huge success.
These new developments will further enhance the opportunities for all Club teams, offering hugely improved facilities and a brand new, first class training environment.

Mon the Anjou

Anjou is a historical province of France straddling the lower Loire River. Its capital was Angers and it was roughly coextensive with the diocese of Angers. It bordered Brittany to the west, Maine to the north, Touraine to the east and Poitou to the south

Dunno where that's from but the hyperbole is nauseating

Would be even less surprised if somehow their facilities and the Emirates and other CWG facilities were conflated into one. Top class provision that they won't have paid for, sell off the one they already have for housing. Money in the bank and better facilities all round. As per the CWG 2014 prophecy.....

So they tell their hordes they will be improving a new facility so they can sell their current one.

They need funds for Lennons transfer kitty and pay offs before they die.

Wish they would make up their fvcking minds is it The Boys Club, St.Pats,Seperate Entity FC or Academy Team

You said they were selling Lennoxtown because of lawsuits.
This article has them building a new facility.

All their youth teams up to under 14 train/play at barrowfield - but it is a dump at the moment. They’re obviously investing money in that facility rather than replacing Lennoxtown.

Did they not get Lennoxtown at a discounted rate? If so, something should be done about it. If the council are giving them discounted rates that they then sell on for a premium, where the f*ck is the sporting integrity in that?!

Pedro

They are not coming out and saying we are selling

Think about it

They let all everybody think they are keeping it

Then somebody comes along and wants it !!

Then they are in a great position as the possible one buyer has to dig deeper

More money

Both us and their facility is in the EDC area. I'm sure both clubs got good rates IIRC at the time

The selling of the land at Lennoxtown would have to go through various stages and would be in red tape for years if they were trying to sell that land for massive gain.

But they aren't. It's an upgrade to Barrowfield.

Time will tell

But if we know in advance it helps. So we not taken by surprise that’s the difference with that mob

They know things about us before we do

Window dressing to give the impression they aren’t saving money for upcoming compensation claims.

Why would a club need two separate training facilities miles apart?
Or positioning to give 'state of the art training' for Scotland as a benefit for them moving from Hampden to the peado-dome.
