Leon Balogun talking about the difference in pressure to any other club he’s played for

He's a great big guy and does always speak very well about the club. He was great when he was brought in and should never have been let go. He has picked up a few injuries which isn't surprising at his age but overall he's a solid big guy. As someone else has said - wish we had got him sooner and for longer.

A good Interview, he talks well.

Im glad he spoke out about the Idiots who boo-ed Dessers on to the field.

Absolutely - felt bad listening to that section about Dessers. He's had to put up with some amount of shite from a sizeable chunk of our support. Hope the lad knows that there are still a large number of bears who appreciate what he's done and that the 'fans' that boo him are just throbber sheep who have bought into a narrative.

(And for the avoidance of doubt, this is not me saying Dessers is the answer, or that he's above criticism).

Imagine scoring 40+ goals in one and half seasons and being told you're 'never a footballer' or one of our worst ever signings.

It’s not new news . Often said that they are a great player but the jersey was too big .
This is where the scouting needs to be deeper and dare I say it some ex players need to be asked their opinion only on what they think of the players mentality and could they handle it based on their own experience in playing for the club .
The qualified scouts can deal with all the technical parts of the process .

Separately, big love for big Leon. As many others have said, wish he'd come to us when he was in his prime instead of the twilight of his playing career.

It’s a good listen, he gets it.

He doesn’t veer into anything too controversial re the fans. He realises the standards have slipped massively and wants them brought back.

The fans do also, individually, we stick hundreds/thousands into the club per year, so if fans want to vent, they are within their rights, and within reason.

He gets that aspect of it.

That's a great interview.

Interesting that Balogun was saying even after he had been called up by Nigeria he was having to sign on for unemployment support in Germany as he had no club. Seems like he really had to work hard to make it in the game.

Hes got a terrific attitude.

That was a hard listen with regard to the personal abuse of Dessers.Interesting hearing Leon say how much Big Dessers loves Rangers.

It would appear that all his injury problems seem to go back to being mistreated at QPR.
Also suffers from the same disease as us the Blue Fever.

:)) :)):))

Why he was ever let go in the first place still baffles me. We should never have had to bring him back (right glad we did).
This man exudes Rangers Class. And when the chips are down, he's the man to rely on.
His first goal was brilliant, just surprised it took so long.
