Glad I could persuade youI was considering going and just sitting on my hands, but now I have read this thread I have started my vocal warm ups.
Cant sing the billy boys lolWe've made it to knockout European football. Let's make Ibrox a fortress tomorrow night let's sing at the top of our lungs and be the 12th man for Gerard and the players. What a great achievement from the club and management staff to be at this stage of the competition.
Are you the guy that sits beside me?I was considering going and just sitting on my hands, but now I have read this thread I have started my vocal warm ups.
Dad?Are you the guy that sits beside me?
Hopefully a positive start from the team to help get the crowd going. I'm more confident of that happening in European games.
Or they'll sing any number of Rangers songs and the stadium will still fall silent. We are supporters and shouldn’t need the team to get us going.
We will sing for the first few minutes and the place will be buzzing and then the UBs will start singing Englishman’s betrayal or Men behind the wire and the rest of the stadium will fall silent.
We really need to get behind the team they need us as much as we need them and with all the shit that's flying around at the moment they require our backing 100% all through the match and we will all be hoping for a good display from them,if we can forget all our gripes with the board and the sfa just for this match it will make us all feel better at least for a couple of days , with the words of one of our songs in mind "The Cry Was NO SURRENDER"to anyone or everyone
Couldn't agree more, and it scans and rhymes correctly too. Can't imagine why those great original words were changed in the first place.Could we sing the right words for a change?
The cry was no surrender
But come when duty calls
With heart and hand and sword and sheild
We'll guard old Derry's walls.
So much better and it makes more sense.
