Just heard on the radio their game against Spurs tomorrow is in doubt.
Apparently 9 players failed the COVID test.
The mad thing is Orient as a lower league team don’t need to be tested regularly as the lower league teams can’t afford testing.
Only reason they were tested were because Spurs paid for it.
This surely has to put the lower leagues in doubt now without proper testing in place.
Same goes for up here, maybe Gerrard has a point about the top league teams footing the bill for the lower league teams.
This also has to put in doubt cup games against lower opposition as we shouldn’t be risking our players

Think our chiefs up here have already said if they don't do the tests they are out of the competition.

Don't Spurs have a Europa League game on Thursday? Why are they playing tomorrow?

Us and the poet should offer to foot the testing bill for every club in Scotland that changes their shitey plastic park to grass.

Carabao Cup. So likely will be their reserves who play.

That’s a bit of a joke. Sure Jose would’ve wanted to have won it.

Even though the kids would’ve most likely anyway played not really the point scheduling two designated first team games in 48 hours.

Made plays for the first trophy of the season before when at Chelsea first time around and at United.

Just another sign of the cups being devalued.

Unless he chucks the Europa. English clubs have a habit of doing that over the years but I suspect with the CL carrot dangling that will be their best chance of qualifying for next seasons.

There's no chance Mourinho will chuck the Europa. He put out his strongest XI for a qualifier during the week.

This has already been decided , they need to be tested to play the cup games this season. The alternative is they forfeit the ties.

Its not the carabao cup, its the efl cup/checkatrade trophy/johnstones paint trophy or whatever its called.

EFL Cup (League Cup basically) is the Carabao Cup ;)

Checkatrade Trophy (Now Leasing.com Trophy) is the EFL Trophy which used to be the Johnstones Paint Trophy. It's for League One and Two clubs only (plus as of recent some U21 sides from Premier League and Championship clubs)
