Linked with Moussa Konate in the French press

I’m surprised we’ve let young Zak rudden go out on loan which just leaves us the two strikers so Maybe we are looking at another forward

Did you read the link before posting? It doesn't say that we are interested in Gnahore.

Eddy Gnahoré and Moussa Konaté, also still under contract, are tracked by French and foreign clubs. Especially Moussa Konaté, which has been the subject of interesting offers from English clubs (Premier League and Championship), but he preferred to stay. For now, he has found the team but Glasgow Rangers Scottish club is interested in him. Answer in the coming days.

L'Equipe french media outlet saying so.

Potentially mean Alfredo is leaving?

The transfer window is still far from over for Amiens. After having almost completed the arrival of a right-back in the person of the Italian Arturo Calabresi (Bologna) , the leaders of Amiens have received a significant offer from Glasgow Rangers for their striker Moussa Konaté. In search of a substitute to Colombian Alfredo Morelos, the club coached by Steven Gerrard would be ready to bet a little less than 10 million euros to attract the Senegalese (26 years, under contract until 2021).

Arriving from FC Sion in 2017, Konaté scored 20 goals in 62 Ligue 1 matches with Amiens. The CAN 2019 finalist has appeared twice this season but played only 23 minutes of play.

Common sense that we have some contingency plans in place if Morelos is to leave over the next few days. Hopefully we don’t have to pursue them but would be amateurish if we were to sell our prized asset without having a replacement in mind.

Yes he’s pricey but what would we bring in for Morelos if he goes?

Anyone have any idea or knowledge about this Konate from the French league?

€10m seems highly unlikely that we would bid that much so I think L’Equipe is talking some serious BS, least I hope so we’d be crazy to bid that.

There could be some truth in it. There is like a 10% chance that Alfie will be off, therefore of course we have a plan in place to cover him leaving but no way are we just going to buy this guy unless Alfie leaves. Nice to have a plan B, would be pissed off if we did not

Gerrard has made noises the last couple of days about Morelos potentially heading. The only way this could be true would be if there’s a £20m odd offer in for him from someone.

The source in question is surely a pretty decent outlet.

I’d rather keep Morelos I think.

That's what I'm worried about, it would seem to me if this is true then Morelos is off.

It is probably more likely we have made an enquiry so we are ready to move if necessary.

However with Gerrard’s comments about potentially losing a player and now this story it looks like there could be something in it

L’Equip are the top sports media outlet in France. They do get a lot right. There is definitely something in it.

Well unless Morelos is off which I hope not, although if we get a great price for him something like £20m or so then that is the only way would have that sort of money to splash about the place. Just have to wait and see how this plays out I guess.

I like the look of his jib to be honest. Would be nice if this guy, Alfie and Defoe were our options!

I really don't think we can splash out ~£10M, so this is only happening if Alfie is offski. And Alfie will only be offski if he’s getting CL football (imo).

So I dont think this is likely. But would be nice.
