Liverpool or Manure?

Genuinely no interest in either.

I watch Premier League games when there's nothing else on, but i couldn't care less about any of the teams.
If Liverpool were playing Man Utd tonight, I'd hope someone won 5-4 with a last minute goal.
Or if a cup match 6-6 after extra time and game won on penalties.

Can't really be bothered with either, have a kind of 'whatever' thought when I hear their names. Not to say I haven't enjoyed watching them at their best though, West Brom is my English team.

Used to be neither but have to say gerrard has changed that.

My 14yo son is also a big liverpool fan for some reason. We live in USA so big EPL exposure. Been a joy to watch them play recently tbh.

I can never understand the second team thing.

I look at the EPL as an entertainment show. Great characters come and go, and we root for certain people in certain situations. We join the stage from time to time informally, and form bonds from there.

Loved Fergie’s MU, admired Wenger’s Arsenal, Pep’s MC, Klopp’s Liverpool, Keegans Newcastle.

But just, meh.

I’ve never had a 2nd team. I just like watching teams who play exciting football so I go through phases. I loved watching a Man Utd when Fergie was in charge but in recent years I like watching Liverpool for the same reason.

I respect Mourinho for his success but can’t stand watching his teams play. Same goes for Athletico Madrid.

most in the loyalist communities in Belfast support one of them even before rangers which really suprised me when I first moved over

Neither. Too timmy the pair of them.

Absolute nonsense !! When they originally moved grounds, 4 of the main board out of the 6 were Masons.
So please get your facts right, before you spout rubbish.
The timmy's as you call them, wear blue jerseys in merseyside, and that's a fact.
Im from Brigton, and have loads of relatives down in Liverpool, especially S G s area called Huyton.in St.Johns Estate.

Man united are everything that is wrong with modern football, no class no dignity. Absolutely awful club.

Liverpool, well I don’t mind them that much but it’s still Leeds for me, and obviously Rangers, although that will upset the can’t have 2 clubs brigade.
Man Utd have plenty of dignity. The way they do the Munich rememberence service is first class

And when the club festooned the memorial billboards with their sponsors? The fans may have a shred of dignity, and I know lots of match going reds who do, but the club? It’s a cesspit of corporate greed.

As Rangers was sadly for a few years there, it is not always the clubs fault, the owners and bean counters are the ones to blame.

Liverpool were the first real dominant club team i can remember back in late 70s early 80s .... plus the stevie g factor...so.....

Is that right aye?
You won't change my mind.
Liverpool/man u, two cheeks of the same arse.
Their support is a wash with feni*ns.

Manchester United for me. Loved the side that won their first title in decades - right good mix of talent, pace and some right hardy players throughout.

I’ve always found United fans to be reasonable football fans as well. In contract to a bunch of Liverpool fans who I worked with in the late 90s who were insufferable with their inferiority complex about Man Utd.
I’ve seen Manchester United visit Chelsea in the last and when all of this social distancing is over I’m planning on getting tickets for me & my son to visit Old Trafford.

I loved the Liverpool side of 87/88 - a compete football machine that season, but have never warmed to Liverpool. Not even the links with Souness gave me any kind of leaning towards them.

Man u were my first team as a young boy, don't know why,Stevie Coppell and Gordon Hill were my heros.Dad helped run a junior team so didnt really bother with Scottish senior game.Got a bit older and all my mates were Rangers ,went along to my first game with them and that was me hooked, been a season ticket holder got over 30 years now, been to Old Trafford a few times over the years.

most clubs are .
The fans are as good as any in England away from home.

Never doubted their fans, scum and I hate them but have respect for them but the club, just think about what I said, emblazoned the memorial to the boys who died on that plane with their sponsors! There was uproar in the town at the time and the club hastily took the posters down.most clubs do not profit from the dead of their club, for them no depth is too far to plummet

I didn't know that until you posted it.Quickly took down .Then good sense prevailed

Liverpool. Only because Man Utd come second only to the mentally challengeds in my most hated stakes.

Not having that pal, yes all clubs are greedy but all bar 1 know there is a limit.
You must have a short memory of Craig white? Charles Green , Easdales all f.ucking us over..in fact thinking about it the united owners are not half as bad as anything we had then .

Man U for me. Probably because when I was a youngster they always seemed to be in cup semis and finals. Around the late 70's early 80's.
Dont think they were but it just seemed like it.

I agree that on here your entitled to your opinion, and so am i, so like yourself i'll stick to my guns
In relevance to what i think is true.
Look back to the Pools.history, and you'll be surprised to know who were involved, when they built the club. You probably wouldn't know, as it'secret to many..

Liverpool..... a club formed by Orangemen & Freemasons

Well quoted my friend, truer wo

Used to be man u but I now work with a manure fan.who jumped ship from us in the banter years he goes on as if he's followed them all his life so now hope they get pumped weekly

Im aware of the history of liverpool pal. But that doesn't change the fact that by far, liverpool have a leaning towards irish Republicanism within their support. The 'special relationship' with celtic and 'were not english we're scouse' does nothing but suggest that to me they are far removed from their Orange foundations. That being said people are free to support them for whatever reason and they are probably many, like yourself (I'm presuming) who do for that basis.

I've always had a dream about dislike for Man u, never really bother too much with an English team. To answer the question, Liverpool cos of Gerrard plus I like Klopp

If pushed it would be Utd only because I spent a while working there and a lot of mates supported them, also ended up going to a few games when Rooney, Ronaldo, Giggs etc and some of the football was sublime!

Can’t say I particularly like either of them. If pushed I’d probably say Liverpool though.

The modern day Liverpool fanbase leans very heavily towards socialism with the Kop regularly flying a Jeremy Corbyn banner. Yes, there are still a few oldschool Orangemen about but that entire ethos within their support has almost died out now.

More Orangemen are season ticket holders at Anfield than any other ground in England.
