As we’ve got quite a lot of players out on loan this coming season with more to follow, all comments and updates in this thread please. We don’t need a thread each time someone scores or has a good performance. This will keep the thread tidy

Cammy Palmer - Partick Thistle (31st December 2019)
Stephen Kelly - Ayr United (June 2020)
Robby McCrorie - Queen of the South (June 2020)
Ross McCrorie - Portsmouth (June 2020)
Jordan Rossiter - Fleetwood Town (June 2020)

Dunno if they will do it this season but the official site listed a (fairly sparse) monthly update in most if the guys out on loan last season.

A thread like this would be great for getting a bit more detail if anyone happens to go along and see any of them perform.

I know Stephen Kelly and Robbie McCrorie both started for their sides today but that’s about it. Ayr ran riot and two of the three Motherwell goals came at 90 minutes and beyond.

Stephen kelly played 90 minutes for Ayr and Palmer played the 2nd half for thistle. Anyone hear how they did?

I had a mate at the QoS v Motherwell match. A Motherwell fan so a tad biased. His view on McCrorie:

"Your goalie looked really assured first half and good dealing with cross balls. Dealt well with a 1-on-1. Second half, not so good. Beaten, admittedly from close range, at his near post for Motherwell's second and made a duff clearance which led to Motherwell's third, an excellent long-range effort. First was a penalty. Pitch was a disgrace, which doesn't help anyone"

Shiels used to play upfront tbf, and they've a small squad so I'd imagine he'll be used in a few positions.

Which is a bit of a worry.

Dumbarton have PJ Crossan who will almost certainly start the season as the attacking left-sided player. Quitongo will start at left back. Up front there's a shortage but if that isnt Shiel's position then primarily it'll be competition at left back or cover at left wing.

The Sons do need help up front and wide right. They could also do with an attacking option in the middle of the park to link midfield and attack, although McCluskey is capable of doing that.

Not a loan but as you can't play trialists in the league cup it would appear freed defender Kyle Bradley has signed for Annan, where he was on loan last season.

Herrera has extended his loan deal by a further six months.
Now in his final year, the best we can hope is they're paying his full wages.

Could be a few youngsters to keep an eye on this season. Maybe the list below.
