Rest a few, I honestly couldn’t care if we get beat comfortably. I’d rather have first team players sharp for the Hearts away game
It's a free hit so I guess Gio will take a balanced view. How do you view the Lyon game?
Rest a few, December is a manic month and league has to take priority.
MclaughlinAgreed.
I would give some fringe players the opportunity to play a bigger name, to keep their appetite.
No sure mate definitely out for tomorrow don’t know about Wednesday.how long is he out injured ?
We are not winning the europa league. Not this year anyway. Beating hearts is ultimately far more important in the big picture. Either way I’m sure we have sports scientists etc or whatever they are to advise on players fitness, needs etc. But from a purely football point it makes sense to rest them allThe team we face in the next qualifying round of Europa are likely to be of a similar quality to Lyon so we should use the match as preparation for that rather than as an opportunity to change things / rest in advance of Hearts.
Not sure they are in the squad for European gamesNot talking full blown start Kelly, Ritchie-Hosler and weston...
But ti think it would be a good opportunity to give Wright, Patterson, Bacuna and Sakala starts... But only if they have been showing they are deserving in training! Same goes for anyone else on the fringes. "Work your socks off this week and you could be starting next week" should be the message!
Playing players who haven't had much game time, is the correct answer.
Good point.Nobody a yellow card away from suspension should play for a start
